Thoughts regarding the Legal Services of John Parnass

We are a public utility district and we use John and his firm primarily for construction related issues. John provides general counsel, such as review of standard documents and forms, and participates as a member of our design team for more complex projects. In particular, during the past few years... (2009 - 2011), he has provided extensive help with our trenchless utility construction projects, from geotechnical baseline and bidding document preparation and review, through bidding, contract award and construction. John is thorough, knowledgeable and responsive. He is also open - he will tell you what is on his mind - and he is willing to seek help from colleagues if he is not well-versed in a particular subject.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have been working with John on a complex construction project (tunneling) for a common client for a couple of years now. In my 30+ years as a lawyer, I have never met a more knowedgeable, practical and competent construction lawyer. He knows his stuff. Highly recommended."

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"John's record and skill speaks for itself - he is top in his field. However, I wanted to briefly add that I had the very good fortune of working with John Parnass on a piece of highly litigious construction litigation several years ago. I was working for Peter Buck, (now of The Buck Law Group, formerly with Buck & Gordon) who asked John to associate in as counsel - we needed his construction defect expertise in the arbitration proceedings. We worked with John for over a year on that case. The highlight of that difficult dispute was watching John present our clients' case before the 3-attorney arbitration panel in a week-long proceeding. His handling of the testimony, the exhibits, the cross-examination of experts and hostile witnesses and his presentation as a whole was flawless and resulted in an outstanding victory for our client. I can't say enough good things about John as a skilled litigator and top-notch attorney."
