I have more than 20 years of experience with Washington State Workers' Compensation claims. I have represented injured workers for the past 10 years. What sets me apart is that I spent 10 years before that representing self-insured employers, so I know what they can, and cannot do, and I know how to work with them when that is more helpful than litigation. I have taken cases through L&I, BIIA, superior court and the Court of Appeals.
For the past 9 years or so, I have also represented those who have become disabled and need Social Security Disability. I work with those clients from application through the Appeals Council process.
I was licensed to practice law in Michigan from 1983 to 1991. I then moved to Washington and spent a couple of years in non-profit administration before returning to the practice of law in 1995. I have always been fascinated by the medical aspects of personal injury and disablity cases. I continue to learning how the body and mind work together, particularly in response to trauma by talking to clients and doctors, and by doing medical research.

I was referred to Sue Holm by a good friend of mine, I contacted her, told her my story, we discussed terms and I signed her on. IM...

We contacted a number of attonreys in hopes of finding someone who could help us with our daughter’s diability benefits. Sue was the only attorney who responded to our inquiry. Her response was fast and complete, and she was clearly very knowledgable about disability law. As a fellow attorney (who...

I had contacted a disability attorney whose office was close to me. He didn’t even listen to me or return my call. I was distraught. If you’re at the point you need a disability lawyer, you are already in pain and in need, financially. I read the reviews on AVVO on Susan Holm. I took the chance and c...

"Ms. Holm is a brilliant person and an excellent workers' compensation attorney. She really knows this area of the law inside and out. She is a great trial lawyer and knows how to make the best use of the rules of evidence. I have also seen her compassion for clients. She is a great person and lawyer"
