Case successfully resolved!

In 2004, I unknowingly had an approximate $7,500 judgement placed against me by a major national company that does not report to the three major credit agencies. In 2022, I was made aware of this judgement when attorney's for another collection agency, who bought my old debt, attempted to collect ...the debt which now totalled over $55,000 with interest and fees. Their only resolution to the matter was for me to acknowledge the full amount and set up a payment arrangement. I knew that I would need legal counsel. I contacted the Washington Bar Association (WBA) and was encouraged to submit the details of my situation, along with a $35 fee, for evaluation and referral. I followed through with this, and after close examination of my case, representatives of the WBA referred me to Mr. Boris due to his long standing expertise and high success rate. By the time I contacted Mr. Boris, he had already reviewed the information I had sent in my initial request to the WBA. He gave me, free of charge, a half hour of his time to review my case and options. By the end of our discussion, I felt confident and at ease with Mr. Boris, and I retained his services. Mr. Boris handled my case in an efficient and professional manner. He kept me informed as my case progressed and quickly resolved. We were able to get my case discharged, and I am no longer liable for any of this debt.

Setting a standard

My experience with Boris was the first time I ever needed a lawyer; I was preparing to sell my house to a buy-for-cash outfit. I was advised by my mother to have a lawyer look at the contact before sale. My next door neighbor was going through a divorce and all he could say is the lawyer won’t return... calls, doesn’t respond to emails, and seems to have a new fee every week. I was skeptical, to say the least. The person advising me to get a lawyer, however, was my mother so… I got a lawyer. I did not get just any lawyer as it turns out… So I wanted to sell the house and just have him look at the contact; Boris dated he could look at it but explained that he wouldn’t be representing me if something happened after he read it if I did not retain his services(and the “new fee every week thing came to mind). This sounded reasonable, but I was close to bankruptcy so I had only $600.00 and asked if he would be willing to get paid after the sale. THEN, he explained that is a risk assessment as if the sale didn’t go through there would be no pay so if he did it, it would be slightly higher. We came to a reasonable sum(actually cheap), but I don’t think it appropriate to say the amount. So Boris looked at the contact, spotted some things not in my interest, and contacted that company to work on it. In the meantime, this man suggested another buyer-which HE FOUND! For no extra charge, and no commission on the sale, this man went out of his way to make this happen! That’s not my friend next door’s lawyer. That’s the complete opposite. On top of this, Boris is very responsive (I called him on a weekend because of an unforeseen incident and still he answered (please do not call him on the weekends if it is not an emergency). Still, that is the kind of help you get from this man. Not a lawyer-a new standard in my opinion. If you need help, this is the man to call for sure! Thanks Boris!

This lawyer was recommended to me by a friend who was extremely satisfied with the services provided. And my personal experience was just outright positive. The issues was with Real Estate transaction and I needed some legal advice and then some Settlement document done with third parties in that tra...nsaction. Everything was done right and promptly. Kind, dedicated, thorough, and honest attorney.

I contacted Boris after finding him online, as I needed legal advice regarding a collection agency that had committed unethical/monetary violations toward me. This was during a time of distress due to the loss of a loved one, as well as financial hardships (partially due to the loss). Instead of givi...ng up and accepting these unfair practices, I searched for attorneys in this field. After some research, I had decided on Boris because of his positive feedback and close location. Due to the negative stigma that is often associated with lawyers, initially I was pretty skeptical. I didn't expect much more than a quick consult, being told there was nothing I could do about the situation, then being sent on my way. Just the opposite happened. When I spoke with him over the phone for a consultation, I was pleasantly surprised. Instead of spending 3 minutes on the phone and dismissing me, we talked for 15-20 minutes about my situation, him being sure to get all the details he could. That was the first thing I noticed, an extremely strong sense of detail. I have contacted a few attorneys in my lifetime for consultations regarding various matters, and none were nearly as engaged or humble as Boris was. The first time I met with him face-to-face, I had to rush to his office, as he was closing not long after I had gotten off of work. When I arrived, we talked about my case for an hour after he closed! He was very friendly and extremely approachable. He never once seemed to want to push me out the door, instead putting my situation first while collecting every detail he could. He thoroughly questioned everything that had transpired, and afterward, he said something that really put me at ease (paraphrasing): "I just want to make sure that everything adds up. I don't want my clients to have to fabricate anything, I think the truth is always the best option." These were very refreshing words to hear as I was not out to be greedy, but rather I just wanted to be able to put my foot down about these business practices and recoup what I felt was wrongly taken from me. My gut told me that Boris was definitely not your stereotypical or run-of-the-mill attorney, but rather that he genuinely cares about his clients, practice, and morals. He immediately began working on my case, always updating me on where we stood. He never pushed the route of trying to get a bigger settlement over time, which was an option if I wanted to pursue them more agressively (as there were numerous violations). He, without bias, left it entirely up to me to decide, stating that his goal is to always put his clients' needs first. He never once tried to sell me a dream, instead he repeatedly told me the truth about the possible outcomes, be it good or bad. 2 months after initially contacting him and a ton of hard work on his part, they made a very good offer to settle before it ever reached a courtroom. Without him, I would have let these violations continue and let them get away with it. Because of his knowledge, persistence and attention to detail, I can begin to get my finances back in order. I am glad that out of a list of at least 30 attorneys listed locally in his area of practice, I chose Boris. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and if I ever need to settle a debt or (hopefully not) have any other situation related to faulty business practices, I will call him immediately. He is, again, honest, caring, kind, determined, and affordable. I am happy to be able to call him my attorney. If you are reading this because you have found yourself in any sort of similar predicament and you have even an inkling that you are being wronged, I guarantee you that he will work tirelessly to try to make things right for you. I will be recommending him to anybody who is in need of an excellent attorney. Thank you again Boris, I am very pleased with the outcome, your hard work definitely made my life a lot easier.
