Effective Attorney

We were in a dispute with our contractor over unfinished work. We had paid the contractor a substantial amount of money and he failed to complete the contracted work. We decided to initiate a lawsuit against the contractor on our own. However, we quickly realized that we were going to need legal ...help. The Snohomish County Bar Association referred us to Boris. He agreed to take our case and followed through until the end. With Boris's help, we won the case and the court awarded a judgement in our favor. We are convinced we would have not won the case without Boris's guidance. Through the process he was very communicative and responsive. We would highly recommend Boris's firm to anyone who needs consumer legal assistance.

Setting a standard

My experience with Boris was the first time I ever needed a lawyer; I was preparing to sell my house to a buy-for-cash outfit. I was advised by my mother to have a lawyer look at the contact before sale. My next door neighbor was going through a divorce and all he could say is the lawyer won’t return... calls, doesn’t respond to emails, and seems to have a new fee every week. I was skeptical, to say the least. The person advising me to get a lawyer, however, was my mother so… I got a lawyer. I did not get just any lawyer as it turns out… So I wanted to sell the house and just have him look at the contact; Boris dated he could look at it but explained that he wouldn’t be representing me if something happened after he read it if I did not retain his services(and the “new fee every week thing came to mind). This sounded reasonable, but I was close to bankruptcy so I had only $600.00 and asked if he would be willing to get paid after the sale. THEN, he explained that is a risk assessment as if the sale didn’t go through there would be no pay so if he did it, it would be slightly higher. We came to a reasonable sum(actually cheap), but I don’t think it appropriate to say the amount. So Boris looked at the contact, spotted some things not in my interest, and contacted that company to work on it. In the meantime, this man suggested another buyer-which HE FOUND! For no extra charge, and no commission on the sale, this man went out of his way to make this happen! That’s not my friend next door’s lawyer. That’s the complete opposite. On top of this, Boris is very responsive (I called him on a weekend because of an unforeseen incident and still he answered (please do not call him on the weekends if it is not an emergency). Still, that is the kind of help you get from this man. Not a lawyer-a new standard in my opinion. If you need help, this is the man to call for sure! Thanks Boris!

Bait and switch

I had a verbal contract with elite roofing for $14,000 + tax to start work on the 17,18,ending on the 19th of August to replace my roof. After giving elite roofing company a $5,000.00 dollar deposit on the 10th of August, check was cashed on the 12th of August. On the 13 I asked for a contract, Mr D...raper informed me that they would bring me the contract on Monday the 17th when they arrived to do the work. I rejected that idea and drove 20 miles on Friday the 14th to receive a written contract. I asked Mr Draper to add the scope of work. It was added and going by the verbal contract Mr Draper and I agreed upon I signed. Three hours later. Mr Draper called and said he wasn't able to start work for 30 days. Mr. Boris Davidovskiy after gleaning information from me drafted a demand letter. I received my deposit and terminated contract within 4 days.
