Biography
Erik is an experienced and aggressive criminal defense lawyer in Kent, Washington. He has worked as a criminal defense attorney in the King County and Pierce County courts and has sat as a Judge Pro Tem in various courts in King County, including Auburn, Kent, and Renton. For 28 years, he managed his own boutique practice located on the Kent East Hill just minutes from the Regional Justice Center and the Kent courts. In 2023, he joined the law firm of Newton & Hall in Kent.
Erik has defended all types of criminal charges from Murder to Domestic Violence. As well as Assault, Shoplifting, Solicitation, Forgery, Reckless Driving, VUCSA, DUI, Theft, Robbery, Burglary, drug offenses, sex offenses, Child Molestation, and misdemeanors and felonies.
Erik is a proud member of the Samish Indian Nation and his roots in Washington go back for untold generations. He graduated from the University of Washington. He attended law school at the University of Puget Sound School of Law in Tacoma (now Seattle University School of Law). He is an avid Mariners and Seahawks fan and he gets out on the links any time he can. He can be spotted every afternoon attempting to walk his energetic chocolate lab, Finnegan.
