An Epitome of Legal Excellence

Devin is exceptional! I hired Devin after working with two other lawyers, and he truly stands out as the best of the best. I regret not finding him sooner. I am from Eastern Europe and have a political asylum case. Although my immigration case is still pending, I can confidently say that he is highly... professional, dedicated, and proactive. Devin approaches matters with a business-oriented mindset and strives to expedite processes efficiently. His responsiveness and speed are remarkable; you won't find yourself waiting weeks for a reply like with some lawyers. Instead, he actively follows up to ensure timely information exchange. The investment is entirely worthwhile; entrusting your case to him is a decision you won't regret. I look forward to updating my review after the court hearing and sharing more positive experiences working with him.

Professional Service, Good outcome

Mr. Devin was the third lawyer I had. I was not satisfied with the first two so I chose Mr. Devin based on a recommendation. I originally had an asylum case that was stuck at USCIS for 2 years after the interview. I reached out to Mr. Devin based on a friend's recommendation, asking him to help me no...t in the asylum case but to file a J1 2-years home residency waiver (since I was giving up on the asylum). His initial strategy was well-though: first request a FOIA on the asylum case to know exactly what is going on there, and then to submit a J1 waiver request in order to pressure USCIS to move the asylum case a bit. And this is exactly what happened: few months after we filed the J1 waiver the asylum office contacted us to do some work on that case, and the file moved. Eventually I got the asylum case approved, so I couldn't be happier. I also want to note that Mr. Devin's fees are very reasonable.

God given immigration attorney that cares

Mr. Devin T Theriot-Orr's is a blessing to my family based on his kindness and patience towards the filing of ( Form I-485 ) our change of status from an F-1 (International Student) to a Permanent Resident for me, my wife and our elders daughter in the U.S and he represent us all the way to the end (... Permanent Resident for 10 years for all of us ). He explain and do everything with my family are as follows: *What is I 485 used for? Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is used by a person in the United States to apply for lawful permanent resident status. *How long does it take for the I 485 to get approved? After filing Form I-485 including our Travel and Work authorization that Mr. Devin filed with related forms and required documents from me as a principal or primary applicant with my family, our I-485 processing time takes about 3 to 6 months. When we got approved, our next step was going for a Biometrics and after a few days USCIS send us a letter of appointment date for the change of status interview. We have to be there 30 minutes before the interview time that was given to us. ( ALL THROUGH OUT THE PROCESS, THE U.S.C.I.S REPLY TO US INDIVIDUALLY WITH OUR IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY BY MAIL ON A HOMELAND SECURITY SIGN ON THE ENVELOP BASED ON OUR MAILING ADDRESS ) Mr. Devin prepared me and my family one day before the final and only interview for a change of status ( Permanent Resident ), I prepared myself with all my original documents with copy of everything from my qualification, transcripts ( secondary school and University back home ), charges and citation of any kind ( foreign or domestic ) - back in my homeland or in the U.S, birth certificate ( for the three of us ), medical examinations and vaccinations in the United States and all the related documents to our current status in the U.S notarized or sealed. God has provide us this opportunity from OpenSky Law with a great service that is one in a life time assistance from a highly respected and honest Immigration Attorney Mr. Devin T. Theriot-Orr and I do believe at heart that he can do it to anybody that needs legal advice or help on Immigration because his got what it takes in the highest degree from my opinion in any immigration case to fight on a clients behalf. Now we have the privilege of this great country to be a Permanent Resident that will expires for 10 years and we can apply for a citizenship with his support for less than 5 years from today. The total fee that he charged us was awesome and we saved about $6,500.00 USD compared to the normal fee for three person, isn't that a blessing. I really do admire his great work and patience, time and effort, honor and integrity toward the successful completion of my immigration case and I am so thankful and blessed for him representing us, the people that he work with and the lady that us to him. May God almighty blessed everyone equally in Jesus Name. LAST AND NOT THE LEAST: The U.S.C.I.S department of Homeland Security mentioned to us during the interview that we are the First One to them based on our case, maybe or because we came in the U.S as a B-1/B-2 Visa and a transition to have a F-1 Visa as an International Student ( with my wife and daughter as a depended F-2 ) and now to be given a Permanent Resident for all the three of us. Thank you and God bless

Incredible Attorney - an incredible job

Devin is incredible, a breath of fresh air. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable and a great strategist. He is mission driven in his work; wisely pragmatic, willing to take on a tough fight and he wins where others may not. He is very fair to his clients and fiscally conservative while generous in his... work. Very thoughtful and complete yet efficient. We believe if we had begun with Devin as our friend’s original attorney our dear friend may have won the right to extend his stay. We had just found Devin a few weeks prior to a deportation date. Our friend had unfortunately been previously directed to work with a mediocre firm at great cost, a firm which appears to be taking a lot of immigrants money and just “putting them through the system “ in cookie cutter fashion. We all knew it was a last ditch attempt to insure every possibility had been addressed. We wish we had worked with Devin from the beginning. We can not recommend him highly enough. We are all grateful and at peace that because of his skilled championship in the last few weeks, nothing was missed. Compassionate, great staff!

Highly Recommend Devin!

Devin is a great lawyer and an awesome human being. We hired him for a J1 waiver case that was difficult and 7 months after filing we got it. He was very honest and clear with us about the process and things like timelines, the rate of success for our case, fees, payments, etc. More importantly thoug...h is that before we hired Devin we had consulted several lawyers who have done or specialise in J1 waivers and all of them charge an exorbitant amount of money. Devin does not! He charged us a fair fee that was manageable to us. He also went above and beyond and gave us tips for when we apply for a green card. I recommended him to a friend of mine who was going through immigration issues and he has been really helpful and kind with her as well.
