Craig Jonathan Hansen

In 2019 I petitioned the King County Court to get temporary emergency custody of my son and ultimately a new parenting plan. Mr. Hansen was my second family law attorney, so I have something to compare to. He worked whatever days/times were needed. He was highly available and easy to contact about my... case. 95% of the time his predicted ruling that the judge would make was spot on. He knows most of the family law judges and attornies in King County. He did not beat around the bush, he always told me the way it was and left the decision to me. Late review, but important to me to take the time to share. I have my son every other week, 50/50 all the way. I wish I used him when I got divorced. Highly recommended by me.

Mr. Hansen was my second attorney after I was dissatisfied with the first attorney. He worked diligently to dissolve my marriage. Mr. Hansen was professional, efficient, and provided incredibly helpful and insightful legal advice throughout the process. His fees are very fair and in the time he rep...resented me, my confidence in him never wavered which was not the case with my first attorney. What is important to understand (which I didn't initially) is to retain an attorney who isn't there to be your friend or offer kind words but rather someone who focuses on applying the law and using his legal expertise and and experience to offer the best legal recommendation; that's what Mr. Hansen did for me.

I felt as if Mr. Hansen was not the best lawyer and I regretted hiring him after a few weeks of dealing with him and my ex's more aggressive lawyer. If you want a mediator or are in the middle of a civil divorce then Mr. Hansen might be ok. But most divorces are not civil and Mr. Hansen is too eas...y and will let the other lawyer walk all over you. I did not feel as if he fought for me and I did not feel as if he listened without prejudice and did the best job for me. My ex had an aggressive, take-charge lawyer and I wish my ex had Mr. Hansen instead. Unfortunately both lawyers cost the same and I did not get the better deal. I would pass on this lawyer unless you are in the middle of a civil divorce.

I highly recommend Mr. Hansen. Professional, smart, knowledgeable, empathic, honest. He would do everything to help you save when it comes to legal fees (surprise, surprise...not all lawyers are after your life savings!!) He helped me settle (divorce) through mediation, saving me thousands of dolla...rs.
