RICHARD LLEWELYN JONES current practice focuses on the representation borrowers and homeowners threatened with foreclosure. Mr. Jones’ has taught foreclosure and short-sale procedures at Bellevue Community College and his published appellate decisions include Bain v. Metropolitan Mortgage Group, 175 Wn.2d 83, 285 P.3d 34 (2012); Walker v. Quality Loan Service Corp, et al. --- Wn.App. ---, --- (2013) (WL3989666, August 5, 2013) and Bavand v. OneWest Bank, FSB, et al., --- Wn.App. ---, --- (WL 4788907, published September 9, 2013). Each of these cases related to the use of MERS in the mortgage lending practices in the State of Washington.
Prior to opening his law firm, Mr. Jones' worked as a city planner and municipal court prosecutor and has served as an arbitrator for King County and as a Pro Tem Judge for the King County District Courts.
