Biography
I am the Managing Partner of Northwest Liberty Law Firm, PLLC, where my practice focuses primarily on uncontested divorces and legal separations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as traffic infractions.
Family law does not always have to mean a courtroom fight. Many of my clients come to me because they have already made difficult decisions and want an attorney who can help them understand the law, protect what matters, and move through the process without creating unnecessary conflict.
That is the kind of practice I have worked to build.
I believe clients should know what is happening in their case and why. I try to be responsive, practical, and straightforward about what the law can and cannot do. My clients are not case numbers. They are people making decisions about their children, their homes, their finances, and their futures, and I consider it a privilege to be trusted during that process.
I was born and raised in the Seattle area, and this community matters deeply to me. I was originally drawn to the legal profession because I wanted work that could genuinely affect people’s lives. Over the years, family law became the area where I felt I could make the greatest difference.
Divorce and separation are rarely where anyone expected their family to end up. I cannot repair a relationship that has reached its end, but I can help make the transition into a family’s new reality more thoughtful and less destructive. Whenever possible, I want clients to leave the process with their dignity intact, their relationship with their children protected, and a clear understanding of what comes next.
My practice also includes prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. These matters require a different kind of care. A good agreement should protect both the relationship and the people entering it. My role is to identify the issues that matter, explain the consequences in plain English, and create an agreement that reflects the client’s actual goals rather than simply producing a document full of legal language.
Before Northwest Liberty Law Firm, I practiced at both small firms and one of Seattle’s largest family law firms, Goldberg Jones. Those experiences exposed me to family law cases involving people from virtually every stage and circumstance of life. They also helped shape the practice I have today: focused, personal, and intentionally centered on matters where people are trying to resolve their legal issues rather than escalate them.
After years of practicing family law, I have learned that clients generally do not need someone to make an already difficult situation more adversarial. They need someone who will listen, tell them the truth, pay attention to the details, and guide them through the legal process from beginning to end.
That is what I try to provide to every client who trusts me with their family.
