I retained this attorney to complete a limited scope matter: finalizing paperwork related to a CR2A that had already been completed. I paid over $10,000 for this work, and was billed nearly $20k. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent. Scheduled calls were frequently postponed or cancel...ed, and billing was not provided in a timely or transparent manner. Charges continued to appear long after substantive work on my case had ended, and invoices trickled in over the course of more than a year. I repeatedly requested a final bill, but billing continued even when no additional work was being performed. When I ultimately disputed additional charges totaling several thousand dollars and declined to pay them, her office pushed back but then communication from the attorney ceased entirely. I was also told the attorney was “preparing for trial,” despite the fact that the matter was governed by an existing CR2A and was never procedurally headed toward trial. Additionally, I was informed that opposing counsel was a former college roommate of this attorney. While I was told this did not constitute a conflict of interest, it is something that I believe was a conflict of interest and the case dragged on unnecessarily. Her paralegal even went to work for the other attorney while she was still on my case. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this attorney. I paid a substantial amount of money and did not receive clear value, consistent communication, or reliable billing practices.

Ms. Cochran's prompt response to my inquiry, and in-depth research of the subject was impressive, and invaluable. You can imagine the immensity of protocol and procedures involved when dealing with HUD subsidies managed by local housing providers. Jenny's immediate grasp of complexities and competent... presentation of subject matter contributed significantly to the positive outcome of my petition. I was greatly relieved by the genuine personal interest she took under the difficult circumstances.
