Trustworthy?

Dropped my sons divorce case after he received over $5000 dollars in fees, because we could not come up with another $4000 before trial date. Consequentially leaving my son to hire another lawyer without having the money needed, or to represent himself. Trustworthy, reliable: deserving trust, or able... to be trusted. I Don't think so.

Put up 10K and get a paralegal

Paid 10k up front, said I had adequate cause and to pusue a case against my ex-spouse. You will be ignored, no emails answered once they use up your cash and then some. Keep you thinking you have a chance and to continue, when they are wrong and you in fact do not have adequate cause. They will no...t inform you when you lose your case because they allow the opposing party to submit statements well after the timeline of 12 pm. Thus you will lose, as they don't care as they worked you for 17 or 18k, and then it's well I told you the courts are not fair. So there you have it, go with these lawyer and you will pay the ultimate price, lose it all and then some.

Don't waste your time.

This firm is very expensive and seems to be on your side but as soon as you question them, they will drop you. We asked a simple question to another lawyer (information Mr. Edward's office should of given us about appealing a decision) and he dropped us. Very unorganized. Each time we met with Mr.... Edwards we had to explain the residential plan and each time he pulled out a piece of scratch paper to write it down. Of course he billed us for this time. Told us they would counter contempt, go after unpaid funds and also go after harassment by the father because of how many times he has taken us to court. At the trial none of this was brought up and the lawyer (Mr. Edward's colleage) was ill and not very articulate. The firms insisted on writing our declaration which took them 4 hours (or $900.00) when we could of easily written it ourself. When found in contempt and the judge asked what a penalty should be and our lawyer did not even speak up and left it to the judge for the decision which was lost of the child for one week. Very harsh penalty for minor mistake. If Tim Edwards suggest that you "keep your gun powder dry", run for the door as fast as you can.

Horrible

I do not know what this attorney or his firm did to piss off the South King County Courthouse but twice we have not been given any respect by the judges......and this last time we were found in contempt, only because the father of child complained (and respensented hisself) over the choice of kinderg...arden. DO NOT give this lawyer or his firm any money to help you.....throw it in the wind or find someone at Starbucks to give you advice.....the father of above mentioned child did not even graduate from highschool and won over the judge.....very dissappointed in this firm!!!!!

Consultation/Representation

After Mr. Edwards cashed $5,000 retainer he worked/stratized my divorce case. Bill from firm was approximately $14,000 in about a three month time frame. He was very, very expensive and feel he worked my case to his advantage not mine. He was not always forthcoming with the truth when i asked him... questions about my case. He also became hard to get a hold of and talk to. He over looked some documents that would have benefited my case. He withdrew from my case and didn't finish the job. Now i have to start from square one. I am very disappointed with his 30 years of experience and do not recommend him.

Relationship: Worked for lawyer

"I worked under Mr. Edwards while in law school and learned valuable experience about how to not only practice in the field of family law, but also how to conduct yourself as a professional. He is not only a great litigator and fierce advocate for his clients, but he also maintains his professionalism while seeking justice for his clients. I now practice in family law and criminal defense and still use daily the knowledge he taught me by practice and example."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
