We couldn't have done this without Michele!

We had been wanting to have my husband adopt my son from a previous relationship for years, but were unable to locate the birth father and weren't sure he would even give his consent (he has not historically been the most logical or agreeable person). Last summer, I found out bio father was in prison..., and thought, we have an address, this is our chance! I got Michele's name from the adoption court in Tacoma and I'm so so happy we hired her. At the consultation, she walked us through everything that needed to happen and made a complicated, overwhelming process seem doable. Then, off Michele went to visit my ex in prison. She came back with a signed consent. She has been doing this for a long time and knew just what to say to convey the fact that this was in everyone's best interest. I dont believe we could have done this without her. She helped with filing all of the paperwork (we basically just looked things over for accuracy) and checked in with us each step of the way. She was always there to answer any questions we had, and we feel like she truly cared about our family. She is simply the best, you won't be disappointed. Also exciting: her daughter will be working as an adoption lawyer soon and is just as lovely. I would hire Michele again in a heartbeat, we had the best experience!

Excellent attorney

We hired Michele as our attorney for an out of state adoption. Michele was very helpful, positive, knowledgeable, and did a great job keeping us informed throughout the process. She worked well with the attorney from the state where our baby was born and seemed to really care about how we were doing... during the whole adoption process. Our adoption was recently finalized and we couldn't be happier. Michele is an excellent attorney and we would not hesitate to hire her again. Her rates are more than fair and she was always there for us when we had any questions or concerns.

Exceptional Attorney

Michele took on my very volatile and frustrating case with compassion and determination. What we needed in order to terminate my infant child’s biological father’s rights was a unique situation never tried in Pierce County before. The details would make little to no sense to someone not in my very pa...rticular situation so I will spare you those. However, regardless of the idiosyncratic nature of my case, Michele was confident in every choice she helped us make and steered us through the hoops of court the whole way, even dealing with difficult opposing counsel/respondent with great result, garnering us the intra-family second parent adoption/termination of rights we sought. The judge even commended our ability to utilize the court system to the best interest of the child in such a new and unique way. That was all Michele’s idea all the way! She was able to help us gain the finalization in less than a year. In all honesty, she helped save my daughter’s life. My family and I will be forever grateful for the personal touch and kindness she brought to us during the most chaotic and scary time of our lives. She truly was a blessing for us. Besides being a phenomenal attorney in her area, she is incredibly fairly priced and honest to boot. I hope you enjoy having Michele as your attorney as much as we did. You can’t go wrong in this choice.

Great Job / Wonderful Person

As I hold my sleeping daughter of 17 days, it is with great pleasure I write a few words about our experience with Michele. My wife and I live in the DC area, and through an agency, adopted a girl in Auburn WA. As a financial planner, I interact with many attorneys. Few seasoned lawyers have been ...as pleasant to work with as Michele. At all times we felt well represented knowing our personal interest were in the hands of a competent attorney. Additionally, words can't express our appreciation for Michele's softer human side, including the many calls with my wife, (helping me) keep her focused in a positive way through out this emotional process. We would be happy to provide personal feedback if you want to reach out to us (law permitting of course). It's been a pleasure.

Applaud Wholeheartedly

I applaud Michele Hinz wholeheartedly. Michele showed me that it is possible for a birth-father's heart to be changed. Her compassion, vision, and leadership qualities were instrumental toward having my son's birth father relinquish his rights. Her personal approach and stellar effort to communicate ...with the birth father, located in a remote prison, was commendable. While advising me well and explaining every step of the way, Michele worked tirelessly and without complaint to take care of the inevitable, unexpected bumps. Her can-do, helpful attitude was exemplified during the process as well as months later when the Decree needed to be amended. Above and beyond, Michele's care for my family made this a most memorable and significant experience. Recently, Michele sent a thoughtful letter to my ten year old daughter and after reading it, my daughter said, "I'll always be grateful for her. She's extraordinary!"
