Not Recommended.

This attorney has repeatedly refused to step down as my attorney. fact. This attorney sent me a blank dvd of police assault on me, sent another that had been returned to him same day it arrived, per tracking data. Fact. This attorney has previously had license to practice law suspended for unethical ...conduct. He approved the redacting of bodycam footage even before I had been able to view it, and still haven't yet he felt we should go to trial without me seeing it. When asked day prior to trial "what's our trial strategy? "Well I gotta a couple things I'm thinking about." Have sent recording of the conversation to Southern Oregon Public Defenders Office as evidence. Huh? You don't even have a plan with trial in morning. Says in emails I can stop by an get new bodycam footage, when I told his secretary I wanted to stop by she hung up and stopped answering. Pattern of deception, and then tells judge I never mentioned the assault that occurred after the deputy shut off bodycam. That makes it premeditated assault. As per Oregon law, bodycams are to remain running until contact with suspect is concluded. Had to push alternate resolution strategy that had 3 of the 5 charges dismissed at next court appearance. I undoubtedly would have done better with no attorney whatsoever then the detrimental behaviour this one provided. All these statements are fact, all are able to be proven with emails, transcripts, and call recordings. Not name calling, simply exposing what I experienced and can show to others so they can make an informed decision. [redacted]

My Divorce

Mr. Light was recommended to me by a former client of his. i was told he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to let me know what he could do for me in my first appointment. The fee was affordable and he waived it when I hired him as my attorney. Our divorce was a little complicated b...ut he was able to have it finalized within a month. I have and will recommend him to others.

Suspension Partially Stayed Placed on Probation issued in OR, 2015

updated on 01/11/2016

Suspension partially stayed means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. When the attorney returns to practice he or she will be on probation, meaning the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
