Joyce Sobel

Joyce was extremely helpful in helping us to file bankruptcy. She swiftly handled the ins and outs of bankruptcy t law and how it was regarded in our case. Her expertise is fluid and not condescending or intimidating; she will really stand up for her clients and knows the law like the back of her hand.

I tried to speak with her about filing an appeal. After I'd spoken one and a half sentences (!) she interrupted me in an inappropriately hostile tone while I was explaining I didn't have a deadline which she asked for. She interrupted and said "Why not?" I tried to explain that I had received abso...lutely no paperwork on the matter. Again she interrupted with "I don't know anything about your case" very hostile. Of course she didn't. It wasn't yet explained to her! Just one and a half sentences and the name of the motion were all I got out before being interrupted. I didn't hire her. Needless to say, I concluded the conversation and did not hire her.

We had a small fence issue come up with our neighbor and decided to write up a fence line agreement. We emailed Joyce the details the evening before (late) and when I called her at 9am the next day she was ready to talk and shared the resources we needed. Her advice gave us piece of mind and we were ...able to move forward with our neighbor in a friendly way. She didn't accept our money for this consult, but we would definitely hire her again.
