4 year divorce - Laurel by far the best lawyer I've experience.

Lauren provided direct insight and guidance like no other lawyer I've ever experienced over a 4 year divorce. I engaged over 10 lawyers in Oregon and Lauren was massively better than any other lawyer. Her ability to manage opposing lawyers and judges, as well as me (the client) was outstanding. La...uren uses honesty as a first principal, rather than playing off of client fears and control so common with most lawyers. We had a plan, clear boundary conditions and a range of outcome expectations. Lauren is the best. Disclaimer - I did not have a personal relationship, nor any personal references to her prior to hiring Lauren; I simply consulted with her and hired her. In fact due to Covid, I've never met her in person.

Expert Divorce Appellate Attorney

Paul Saucy of Saucy & Saucy, P.C. had handled the trial portion of my divorce case beautifully and effectively. The moment Lauren Saucy learned that the opposing party had filed a notice to appeal, she called me to explain the appeals process and asked if I wanted her to represent me. I, of co...urse, said yes, and from that time on I could not have been better represented through the appeal. Lauren mastered the case early on and suggested the most likely outcome range. She provided well-thought analysis of the opposition's arguments and her counter-arguments. She was spot-on identifying important points and downplaying fluff. She guided me through a settlement offer that was never acknowledged. At each step, she kept me apprised of upcoming events. Lauren's brief was strong, straightforward, and provided a great legal analysis of the case. I could clearly see the strength of her legal reasoning and writing skills. By report, she provided strong oral argument and knocked down the opposing attorney's "misstatements of fact" in a calm manner. Throughout the lengthy appeal process, Lauren remain professional and gracious, and she, Paul Saucy, and their office staff worked to help me through the process. Lauren called as soon as she received the Appellate Court decision. I could not be happier with the outcome. Even now, Lauren continues to fight for me to recoup attorney's fees and costs. I am certain that Lauren Saucy is the best divorce appellate attorney!

The Best

I am so grateful I found Lauren. She was recommended to me by six separate individuals, and was my favorite from several I consulted when looking to retain someone. She knows this area of the law to its finest details, and gave excellent guidance and advice throughout the process. She remained calm, ...cool, and focused in the face of a case with myriad frustrations and delays, and is the reason my divorce ended with a good, fair settlement. She is the best!

Faith restored

I have been with 5 lawyers since my divorce in 2000, before this time I have never seen a lawyer in my life. 1st lawyer I think was working for my ex. 2nd lawyer - I was audited by the IRS because the 1st lawyer had omitted to put a paragraph in the divorce papers. 2nd lawyer said 'easy fix', but a...fter waiting for nearly a year and nothing happening, I fired that one. 3rd lawyer hired to take over and after a lot of $$ and time the issue was corrected. I did come out of it knowing more about the lawyers personal life than they did of mine. 4th lawyer was hired as I am reaching retirement age and wanted to end alimony payments. In the end they let me go as they were not familiar with the judges and lawyers in my county...BUT they recommended Lauren Saucy. The first thing I noticed about Lauren is she listened to what I was saying and kept things on track. She didn't sugar coat anything. She stated the facts, the way things could go good or bad. In other words told me the truth. I respect that in people. Lauren wrote a strong letter to my ex, based on facts and truth of the situation. She explained exactly how things would go even if I had to go to court. The ex agreed and signed off on the alimony payments and I am a free man. I can go on now and live out the rest of my life without this issue hanging over me. Thank you Lauren. As this all happened so fast I didn't get a chance to thank her in person. So I plan one more visit to her office because I want to thank her in person. I feel I owe this to her.

Tremendous Family Law Attorney

I worked with Paul Saucy on my divorce. As my case ended up needing to go to trial, his legal partner, Lauren Saucy, spoke with me at length as she reviewed my documents and prepared data for the trial. She quickly sensed the details of my case, and mastered the intricacies of my financial records... and multitude of data. She was supportive and walked me through the lineup of trial events to expect, so that, when I did go to court, I felt as comfortable as I could have. I understand that her attention to detail is critical so that there would be little, if anything, for the opposing side to claim on appeal. Lauren's expertise meant that our exhibits at trial were clear and pertinent, and that was critical in telling my story, and in the satisfying outcome.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I have had the experience of being the opposing lawyer, mediator and appellate collaborator of Lauren Saucy for over 15 years. Lauren is highly skilled and knowledgeable in all areas of family law allowing her to be both a very effective trial lawyer but also an objective & reasonable lawyer who can obtain fair settlements out of court. Honesty, knowledge and skill are attributes that are not often found in the same person but Lauren is that rare combination of all those things that allows her to serve her clients extremely well. I endorse her and have recommended her often when I have been unable to take a case myself. If I ever needed a lawyer for myself I would not hesitate to hire her."
