Warning to all - Do not hire

Do not hire Ms. Quatier for legal services. Ms. Quatier handles modest means cases and there is a reason for this. The word has gotten around about how she does business and she is having a hard time acquiring clients. I learned much of this only after I had retained her to handle a parenting time.../support issue. Ms. Quatier made a ton of promises during the initial consultation and none of them ever materialized. I should have realized something was wrong when she spent the bulk of our time talking about her billing process and how her clients need to "top off" their retainer each month. No other attorney requires this. Over the next two months, Amanda did nothing on our action list. She was often difficult to get ahold of, apologizing several times for "not being available". Her complete inaction on my case proved crippling as we had a critical deadline in my case that came and went. Our family has a long legal history and even they have commented that they have never seen an attorney make this many mistakes this early into a client relationship. The OSB is now involved in looking into this attorney. I feel it is important that young attorney’s are held accountable for mistakes they make that affect peoples lives in a profound way. Please look into the history of Ms. Quatier before ever considering her for representation.

I’m sorry that you are disappointed with the representation I provided. I strive to explain and advise all of my clients in a thorough and straightforward manner. I do know that I would never make any promises and could not give a client any a clear picture of what to expect early in a case, especially in an initial consultation before I have learned all of the facts and looked at all the evidence. I make every attempt to explain the weaknesses and strengths in any case so that clients know what the stand to lose and what they stand to gain. I ask that clients be forthcoming with me and cooperate in creating the best strategy. I am very accessible to my clients, who are free to call me, text me or email me day or night. If I’m unavailable, I typically respond within 24 hours. I can assure you that you are my first and only client who has complained to me or anyone about the quality of my representation. I truly don’t understand the reason for this bad review. My billing practices and retainer agreement are the same as any family attorney. I require an up front retainer that must be refreshed every month. This is standard billing practice. I take on a variety of both full paying and modest means clients. I do not believe taking on modest means clients means lower quality of representation. There are many excellent attorneys who represent underprivileged clients. I do so because from personal experience I know how crucial and yet cost prohibitive legal representation can be. I see it as a privilege to help those who could not otherwise afford it receive quality representation. I can say without a doubt that I worked hard on your case as I do with all of my cases. Sometimes the attorney client relationship is not a good fit. I wish you the best of luck in your case moving forward and hope you find the answers you are looking for.
