This June, I was intentionally hit-and-runned by a car on my motorcycle while helping to direct traffic at the protests in Portland, causing serious injuries to my knee that require surgery and a year's worth of recovery. Since the other vehicle that hit me didn't have insurance, every single PI lawy...er I called couldn't (or wouldn't) do much to help. He wrote a letter to my own medical insurance company when they initially declined to cover my surgeries. He spent hours with me on the phone talking me through my rights and the ins and outs of this process. Ron is an intelligent, patient, informative, and extremely generous guy. He always explained things in an extremely clear way, was always honest about my situation and its prospects, and prevented me from losing tens of thousands of dollars to the insurance companies unnecessarily. Insurance is an incredibly complex set of systems in this county, and having someone like Ron in my corner to help explain and navigate things was invaluable. While he was never officially my attorney, I would refer him (and already have) in a heartbeat. Thank you, Ron!
