A good person to have by your side...

This attorney helped me with a potentially life-damaging decision made by Oregon's Employment agency. While I had truth on my side, it makes a huge difference to have knowledgeable support as well. I would recommend her highly and I think it is time the note regarding her alleged misconduct be dele...ted, since it had nothing to do with her work as an attorney.

Repesented me in a Wrongful Discharge case

Sona was quick to respond to my initial request. We briefly discussed the situation by phone and set an appointment. Upon meeting, I felt I had known Ms. Joiner for years. She was extremely compassionate, personable and very knowledgeable. We discussed my situation and Sona offered a number of op...tions from a soft approach to litigation. She was very up front with the potential of each situation and the costs involved. Through my case, she has been very approachable and available to answer any questions I have had and to offer suggestions and advice as we proceed through this complicated process. I highly recommend her for any employment related situation as well as any general legal case you may need help with.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2004.

Reprimand issued in OR, 2004

updated on 12/05/2009

This means the lawyer did something wrong but the bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Suspension - Disciplinary issued in OR, 1995

updated on 11/26/2014

This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Sona’s comment:

“This disciplinary action occurred in 1995 and was totally unrelated to my legal practice or a client.”
