Employment Agreement

I contacted Scott to have an employment contract reviewed. Scott replied to my message within hours, reviewed my agreement and provided a straight forward, easy to understand summary of areas of risk along with recommended changes all in the same day. I am very pleased with his responsiveness and ...he was very easy to work with.

Severance package review

I chose him based on his high reviews and his availability when I needed help with my severance package. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service I received. We had only one phone meeting that lasted less than an hour. During the conversation, I had to correct him on details that were clearly sta...ted in the severance package document I had shared with him in advance. I ended up doing everything myself, including writing a letter and emails to my employer. The fee was also expensive, especially considering the limited time spent and the quality of the service. In hindsight, I would have preferred to use an online legal service to review my severance package.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I am pleased to endorse Scott Cliff. We have shared office space for 5 years and I have observed Scott on a daily basis. We also have collaborated on a few cases, and I have referred clients of mine to him for representation in employment matters. Scott is extremely knowledgeable in employment law and is as fair, diligent and honest a lawyer as I have known in my 40 years of practice. It is a pleasure to be associated with Scott. He very much deserves the highest professional rating."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
