For over 4 yrs, we have trusted Jean and her legal expertise on a variety of issues relating to employment, labor, wage & hour, leave and more. As an HR Mgr, it's a comfort to know that Jean is always a phone call or email away with sage legal advice to guide myself and my company through the HR challenges that most businesses face. She is experienced, knowledgeable and very responsive to our needs (even if it is 10pm on a Friday night!). She is always looking out for my needs, sending me updates she knows are pertinent to my work. Thank you, Jean.

Jean has handled several employment issues for our company over the past 5 years. She has successfully defended (BOLI) complaints and advised us on lawful termination. She has been a source of information for us on ADA Compliance, EEOC and Workers Compensation. She excels at educating our company so that future issues can be avoided.
I am a person that needs to feel like I understand the full picture in order to make informed decisions. Jean is a great educator in that regards, rising above my expectations at all times. I have complete confidence in her abilities.
My Human Resources education is well rounded because of my relationship with Jean. Her response time is excellent and the end product speaks for itself!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
Ms. Back and I were opposing attorneys in a recent employment discrimination matter. She was assertive, responsive and professional in all our interactions. She did not make things any more difficult than they needed to be. It was abundantly clear throughout our dealings that Ms. Back is a skilled problem solver who is dedicated her clients’ best interests. I would recommend Ms. Back’s services to Oregon employers without hesitation.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
As an opposing lawyer in a non-competition case, I found Ms. Ohman Back to be both professional and effective as an advocate for her client. It is always a pleasure dealing with fellow professionals who recognize that courtesy and zealous advocacy are not mutually exclusive. I can endorse Ms. Ohman Back and her firm without hesitation.
