We worked through the necessary legal steps... to resolve several pieces of a detailed puzzle, all the while keeping an eye out for my best interests: not padding her billing. Every time we talked, she answered all my questions, and we kept chalking off the tasks to get the whole mess under control. She stuck with it, and me, through the end.
