Highly Recommended

We were given a referral to Mr. Thomas Coan by someone very pleased with his representation. Thomas worked with us for a year as there were a number of extensions. He listened to us and gave us a clear plan of action to prepare for court. He was honest about the possibilities of how the case could... turn out, which allowed us to prepare if it went to the negative. He took many notes and asked a lot of questions. There was a video of the incident which he viewed multiple times. We had a number of friends and family that came to court with us. When the case was dismissed and there was much rejoicing, he was genuinely glad and even joined us all for a coffee celebration! We highly recommend Mr. Thomas Coan.

A remarkably knowledgable attorney, a caring, kind man...

During a nightmarish period of my life, Tom has proved to be not only an incredible advocate, understanding all pertinent facets of the law, but also the kindest, most heartfelt counselor one could imagine. He is a remarkable attorney and a remarkable human being.

Five stars not enough!

I retained Thomas after my previous attorney advised me to plead guilty to a felony that I did not commit. Thomas actually spent the time to examine all of the prosecution’s evidence. He picked apart and disproved all charges before it went to trial. He relentlessly fought for me and my family every ...step of the way. Thomas was exceptional at communicating and responding to my questions quickly. In the end I did except a plea of a class B misdemeanor. This was a great win considering the original charges were measure 11 felony and 2 class A misdemeanors. I would highly recommend Thomas Coan to any person facing criminal charges.

Highly respected lawyer

I have hired Tom on multiple criminal charges that have been brought on me. He helped me regain custody of my son and won my cases he does what he says makes you feel comfortable and doesn’t lie to you and in court room he fights to the dirty end and I pitty anyone across from him cause he tears them... apart . He is class act and my #1 lawyer. thanks tom

An Honorable Man And The Best Attorney

Tom Coan has the rare ability to actually stay engaged and listen to what his client is saying. With great patience, and without being condescending, he is able to gather all the evidence, good and bad, and mold it into excellent defense strategy. His attention to the smallest of details, coupled w...ith his demeanor in the courtroom, has given my friend the confidence and strength needed to make it through his trial. Thank you Tom Coan, for not only being a great attorney, but for also being a good man.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
