2019-2020

I met Mr Bittner last year to discuss my confusing and emotionally charged divorce case that only few attorneys would consider taking. After our initial consultation, he expressed willingness to move forward in spite of the mess I was in. I decided to hire Tom because he handled me like a bowling pin... and I needed a good negotiator (I wasn’t interested in trying to burn my X but protect my family). My case took almost a full year to resolve, and through that time I had the freedom to proactively work together with him; he was always there as a voice of reality to temper ideals and help me refocus. Tom won’t tell you what you want to hear. He knows the system and will help you to see where justice is blind to your case. If you’re a vindictive person he’s not a good match, but if you need a strong advocate who really wants to help people work things out, I highly recommend his services.

Divorce

Mr. Bittner did not explain that he is an attorney that wants a positive result for both parties. I used him as my divorce attorney and he did not negotiate a fair settlement for me during my divorce. I felt I was rushed during the entire process.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
