He's a Criminal

It says he was in trouble for misconduct. I tried to fire him 4 times. He is a criminal and should be in prison. In 3+ years he refused to answer calls, have a meeting or do anything for my case .I had 10 witnesses he refused to even talk to. They wrote statements and gave them to his PI. Jadon refus...ed to take them. I have Alzheimer's X2 he refused to talk to my doctors who called him repeatedly. He told me I had to come alone downtown or he wouldn't talk to me, he never answered one question from start to finish. He had me thrown in jail 3 times. He made a 12 person trial without ever calling me about it or calling any witnesses in my defense. TThe first thing he said , without ever meeting me is I'm taking this to trial and your going to prison for life. Then locked me up for months till I plead guilty. So if I didn't I would die anytime in isolation because that is where they made sure I stayed till the day I plead guilty. I never got any phone calls out, no medical treatment. The jail is still on Covid Rules made not with a Superior Court but by a County Judge that sent a memo out during Covid. But the jail is still at 50% staff. We were allowed out for about 10minutes every 3 days. I was there for over 100 days and could never make a call out. I was supposed to start Alzheimer's Infusions a year ago they made sure I never got to do that. So what they gave me was a death sentence. And I'm 61. Because my care giver attacked me. But I fought back. She is 20 years younger a foot taller and a 100lbs heavier and not disabled. She had just robbed another client of 10k and her car plus shot her up with drugs gave her a over dose. She also lied to police and courts previously on numberous occasions and had a man convicted to a year in prison who was never even at her house. She said, that's what he gets for wanting to date another girl. As year before she tried breaking her own arm 3x in one day to blame her boyfriend. But I had him as an attorney. He thinks he's a DA. The guy is completely mental.

Save you money DIY your chances are better.

They don't interview witnesses, return your calls, absolutely worst attorneys I've ever had.

Snake Oils

He represented me in a case that shouldn’t have made it to the grand jury, but needless to say they did indict me at which time I was placed in custody, Mr. Steen let the district attorney hold me passed my 60 days and didn’t raise that as an issue, during my stay in jail he continued to reassure me ...that I had nothing to worry about it was a slam dunk case, there were several other guys in custody that had Mr. Steen which I let him know that I knew he had a lot of cases on his desk from the public defenders office and I wouldn’t bother him, he reassured me once again, this time by saying and I quote, “ya, there are a few of you, but out of all of my guys in there, your the one that better not be losing any sleep over this because you are going home.” Which confirmed my belief in him and the fact that the charges would get beat in motions and I wouldn’t see a trial as I had stated to Mr. Steen from the very beginning that I wouldn’t sign a plea agreement or a waiver for my 60 days fast and speedy trial. At 60 days I was still in custody and on my 61st day I was in court, but not for what I had thought. I assumed a release hearing for violating my 60 days, or even a motion hearing which would have sufficed, but no he had me there to plea bargain which he had no flipped the script and claimed that i would most definitely lose in trial and get sent to prison for at least 56 months, my best bet is to take the plea and get a suspended sentence. This isn’t a personal attack on Mr. Steen, just stating the FACTS as they happened. Thank you, Robin

Horrible experience

Never calls back/ answers, always late, haven’t heard from him in over 2 years and now I still can’t get ahold of him. He told me he would call me when he heard back.

Low stress high reward

Simply the best experience - Jason is personable, professional and dedicated to getting the best result without being a high pressure jerk. I got the most I legally could have as a result of my accident suit and there was little to no stress or work for me. And my original attorney would have ended ...up costing me money instead. Highly recommended

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2018.

Reprimand issued in OR, 2018

updated on 09/20/2018

This means the lawyer did something wrong but the bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
