Didn't help me at all - Just wasted my time

I was referred to Mr. Trigsted from another attorney. I contacted him and told him a little about what was going on and asked if he would be able to help. He responded quite quickly and asked me to write out what had happened so he could take a look. Now, this might be okay if what happened wasn't ov...er a years period of time... it would have taken me hours to write out the whole story, instead of just a phone call to explain. I decided to not write it out and that he probably would just ignore me anyway after I did. Fast forward about 2 weeks - I received a phone call from an assistant, I am assuming, by the name of Terri. She told me they hadn't heard from me and that I could call her back and explain my situation. So, feeling a little bit better about not having to write it out, I did that. She then asked me to type it all out so that Mr. Trigsted could read it. At this point, she made it sound like I had a something, so I proceeded. It took me over 3 hours to write about what had happened. I attached it to both Mr. Trigsted and her email and waited to hear. Almost 2 weeks went by, no word. I contacted Terri again, had to leave a voicemail, and asked if she had received what I had written... she said she did and that Mr. Trigsted was still looking it over. I received one email from him on October 22, 2018 asking a question in regards to what I had written... I have not heard from him since. No email or phone call that says "Sorry, can't help you" or "Sorry, still looking into it"... Nothing. I've worked as an attorney's assistant for 2 years, it happens quite frequently and the main reason why I didn't want to write it all out and waste my time. A simple respectful email/phone call is all it takes to let someone know you cannot help them. My situation may have not been important to him, but it is to my family and I. Just from this situation, I would NOT recommend this attorney. I am glad he helped others, but he did absolutely nothing for me but waste my time.

Your comment is unreasonable. You admit that I responded right away and then you admit that I asked you a question about your documents and apparently you did not respond to my question. Thanks.

Collections

I was sent to collections from my apartment complex I moved from saying I owed another months rent but I did not I paid it and showed proof and they still sent me to collections the complex changed management companies 3 times in a year and by the time it was over there was a 4th they couldn't keep t...heir story straight. They kept changing their story on how I owed them money. Had a collection agency hounding me over something that was false. Joshua Trigsted showed them proof from my paperwork and statements and got them to drop it finally after his due diligence and got it off my credit report as well, he is wonderful!

Changed my view of lawyers

Mr. Trigsted has been incredibly helpful with dealing with a debt collection agency trying to collect on a really old debt. He's incredibly smart, well spoken, easy to understand, and doesn't waste time. Definitely my first choice for legal representation.

No Compariaon

I was lucky enough to find Josh about 10 years ago to help me with a couple creditors that were breathing down my neck. They were violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act x10. Josh was the perfect man for the job. His assistant kept me up to speed on the progress. These cases don't get solved... over night. You all know what it feels like to have creditors reach your mail box, voice mail, email inbox and sometimes as sneaky as text messages. Josh has a way of putting you at ease. When my issue came up again 10 years later I was praying that Josh was still doing his thing and practically danced around the room when I saw his name still here!! He's like an old friend. If you are thinking about calling him, don't think, JUST DO IT

Lemon Law Regarding a 5th-Wheel

Excellent, Professional help. Good communication with me so I was clear with what was going on all through the process. Any Questions I had via Phone or Email were answered in a timely fashion. I am a completely satisfied customer that received a settlement check when the process was complete.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2018.

Reciprocal - Public Reprimand issued in UT, 2018

updated on 04/15/2019

This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Utah.

Reprimand issued in OR, 2018

updated on 05/07/2018

This means the lawyer did something wrong but the bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
