Employment and Labor 75%

I represent labor unions. I also represent individuals regarding all types of employment matters, including drafting contracts, reviewing and negotiating separation agreements, providing advice and assisting with disability issues, to fiing cases on behalf of individuals who have been unlawfully terminated, assaulted, harassed or discriminated against in the workplace. Many of the people I represent are current or former public employees, for whom constitutional rights come into play.

75%
Ethics and Professional Responsibility 10%

I represent and advise professionals regarding complaints, investigations, interviews with, and related proceedings in front of licensing boards and commissions in Oregon and Washington. See Licensing, above.

10%
Licensing 10%

I represent professionals (doctors, nurses, teachers, etc) in negotiations with and in proceedings before professional licensing boards such as the Oregon Medical Board, Oregon Board of Nursing, Teachers Standards & Practices Commission, Washington State Medical Commission.

10%
Civil Rights 5%

Other than representing individuals in civil rights cases relating to employment issues, I pursue select cases in which the civil rights of my clients have been violated in other contexts. Examples include police misconduct cases and cases in which negligence by government agents has resulted in harm to vulnerable populations (children, the disabled, the elderly, etc...).

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
