I do not even know where to start with how unprofessional this whole experience was. Continual lack of communication, incorrect emails, always me reaching out to confirm most everything, not informing me of court appearance date (stating I should have gotten an email, never did). It was so disorganiz...ed that I ended up reaching out to the opposing council and did it all myself which took 1 day to finalize. I would NOT recommend this attorney!! Worst experience ever!

I reached out to Melissa during Covid needing some immediate help and representation, for what ever reason covid had an impact on attorney availability and Melissa took appointment with me right away. I had reached out to at least 4 other attorneys and all were months out. At our forest meeting I ...was so impressed with her attentiveness as I described my situation. She assured me that my case would be approached with the best interest of my children in mind and a focus on meditation. That is exactly what she's done and her ability to achieve positive outcomes is appreciated. Melissa is easy to reach and always responds quickly. I recently had an issue with the other party not complying with court order on a Sunday morning, I reached out to Melissa by text on her personal phone and she replied immediately! I felt bad for bothering her on a weekend and told her such, she replied, "this is exactly the reason that clients have my cell phone. Don't worry about bothering me on the weekend." That to me is above and beyond! I'm so thankful for Melissa and her expertise in navigating family law and her willingness to not drag every little thing before the court. She will reach out to the other party and try a resolution through conversation and negotiation. Thank you Melissa Atteberry!

During the initial consultation, I told her I needed an attorney with teeth who's looking out for my best interests and fight for me. She promised everything, but only excelled at charging me (over $10k). I did all the work. What work did I do? Well I'm a CPA and ex-auditor, and did all the har...d research and forensic accounting. I ticked-tied all the financial data, drafted timelines and summaries of the case and circumstances. I pulled phone records, tax statements, pay-stubs, etc and drafted detailed workpapers for audit evidence. Everything was handed to her in a pretty bow. Unfortunately, every conversation I had with her I would have to 'start over' and explain EVERYTHING....again, and again. She had no memory (or didn't care). Through my due-diligence, I even found that my ex lied on the divorce papers, and submitted false information to the courts. Her only comment was, "good luck getting the DA to care." So basically I did all the work, we went to trial, and lost my shirt to both my ex and Melissa.
