RIPPED OFF

I hired Heather for a child support arrears case. I paid a $5500 retainer and after 2 months, she not only did not show up in court, she hired a uber attorney to dimiss the case with out my consent. I hired her in Late december 2018, and now as of today 6/2/19. i have neither received a bill of servi...ce, or any communication what so ever.. I have filed a complaint against her with the CALIFORNIA BAR ASSOCIATION, AND THE CLIENT RELIEF FUND. Feeling ripped off !

No action, no followup and no communication

I hired Ms. Salvador during my most troubled times. She was nice, pleasant and seemed to have the answers. But once she collected fees she did little. We had a 4 way meeting with the opposing attorney and she said and did little to help me, I was on my own. The opposing attorney had plenty for me... but Ms. Salvador sat quiet and did not say anything until after they left. Phone calls, text messages unanswered. Found out from the opposing attorney that she changed her email address after I had returned emails for weeks. I had to wait at her office to get an answer about my case and what was going to happen. Her office is located inside of a massage parlor. A teenage boy calls me to make appointments for her (her son's friend). So many personal excuses for not following up. She owes me the remainder of my retainer which she hasn't paid back. Frivolous meetings, poor communication and too many personal excuses for an attorney that should be helping her clients. I am filing a complaint with the California State Bar for unprofessional behavior, frivolous meetings (no action) and no return of unused retainer. What a waste of money and time.

Run Away!

She talks a good game, but has no follow through. She did not return my phone calls, emails or texts. She failed in her fiduciary duty, not objecting, not telling me what was going on, not asking me what I wanted to do, she made all the decisions and they were not in my (or my child's) best interes...t. There was domestic violence in my home and she did not fight to protect me or my child!

I couldn't have done it without the support of Ms. Salvador. Highly recommended.

I found Ms. Salvador to be very out going and just the extra support that I needed to be successful in my case. She always took the time to explain the process and was more then fair on her price. I would use her again and or recommend her services to others. I was successful because of her and for t...hat I am extremely grateful.

Very Unprofessional

I hired Heather to present my case throughout the trial process of my case. I had gathered all the information necessary to put together and present several exhibits. The morning of the trial and after the judge had already came to be seated, she had still not prepared nor handed anything to the judg...e. The judge did not seem pleased with having to wait for something that should have been handled prior to his arrival. During the down time in which we had to wait for another party to become available for questioning, she spoke very loudly and unprofessionally to the security guard standing in the courtroom; she was swearing, laughing loudly and spinning in her chair, much like an adolescent in class while the teacher is out. Throughout the entire process she had seemed unsure of what she was doing, phrasing questions in a manner that had only seemed to help the other party. The case was a custody matter, in which I had provided photos of my children to be used in the exhibits, one of the photos she presented to the judge had not been the one she had meant to provide in that moment, instead of correcting her mistake, she simply shrugged, giggled and exclaimed, "Oh, whoops. Stuff happens." She had prepared a very brief list of questions for the opposing party and when they were not answered as she had anticipated, she had no counter responses prepared to ensure that the truth be exposed. I truly am not one to write reviews or to point the finger just because something did not work out in my favor, however, I feel that, had I gone in and just represented myself (not knowing anything about the process) I would have had much better odds in reaching the outcome I was looking for. I feel that it is important for me to share this experience with those looking to hire someone to ensure that they get an experience that is worth the time, effort and money they are putting forth, especially in situations that are serious enough to need the assistance of an attorney.
