Completely satisfied

Rick Eldridge has my unqualified recommendation as a divorce attorney. When I sought Rick's counsel my situation seemed pretty dire: My ex, who had clearly been planning a divorce for years, waited for the 10 year mark to actually file so that this would be considered a "long-term marriage" under Ca...lifornia law. By these crazy laws I could have been responsible for her financially for the rest of her life as she, despite an elite Ivy League education, refused to work outside the home and was solely dependent on my income during the marriage. Her behavior during the marriage was terribly abusive and I was quite broken down by the time she filed. I was in such denial about the whole thing (and frankly, depressed) that I did not even show up to contest her at the initial hearing and she ended up with 90% custody and wage garnishment amounting to the vast majority of my paycheck. Several months later I picked myself up off the mat and came to Rick. What I am most thankful for, above all else, is that he was so calm and reassuring about my situation initially and did not chasten me for allowing myself to be steamrolled, focusing instead on what we had to do moving forward to end up with the best outcome. Several years later (this was not an amicable divorce in any way, and she had a very skilled attorney herself) I find myself with 50-50 custody, the family home I paid for, painful but manageable (and non-modifiable) support payments that actually have an end date within the next few years, my full pension, and vaccinated children (I am a physician and my ex, on top of the rest of it, is an anti-vaxxer). As subjectively painful, expensive, and time-consuming as this whole experience has been, objectively the outcome has been about as benign as I can imagine, and it could not have happened with the help of Rick and his team. I now have a wonderful and supportive partner, children who are doing much better than they ever were during the marriage, and heaps of gratitude to be in a position to have a secure future with my new partner and family. My advice to anyone in a situation like I was in -- get out, ASAP, and schedule a consultation with Rick.

Best of the Best!!

You cannot find a more professional, yet approachable, office than the Law Office of Richard Eldridge. I highly recommend this office if you want an experienced, knowledgeable and caring attorney. Rick is a Family Law Specialist which I believe gives his clients the extra level of expertise in the in...tricacies of dealing with family law cases. Rick and Deborah know the law extremely well! What a team!! Their attention to detail is exquisite! My somewhat complicated case needed this level of professionalism. I wish I had found this office when initially going through my divorce 3.5 years ago. After going back to court with my ex-husband, issues that should have been taken care of the first time around are now completed. Financial issues like the Grant Deed to my house and Retirement Account division which my first attorney did not seem able to get done are now completed. Spousal support has been clarified. I needed to establish safety for my children. Rick and his staff helped me to present evidence to achieve a decision which offers more protection for them. I was able to get sole legal and physical custody of my children, which is what was needed in this case for their safety. I feel like Rick and his staff truly are concerned about getting the best outcome for all involved, especially the children affected by these court decisions. I will forever recommend this office to anyone I know who needs these services.

Most trustworthy and hardworking family law attorney in Sacto.

My case involved custody issues, spousal support, visitation and every other family law issue you can throw into the ring between a couple getting a divorce with three children. The other side was extremely abrasive and rude when I had to deal with them before hiring Rick but once I retained him the ...nonsense, and bullying from my ex husband and his legal team stop immediately. I appreciate not only Rick's knowledge within family law but his patients, guidance, and most importantly friendship as a professional colleague. His office staff including his paralegal, legal assistant, and secretary could not have been more pleasant in answering my questions or setting up appointments for me to meet with Rick directly. They always walked me through everything and always made sure I understood what was happening in my case at all times. They also continuously sent me electronic copies of ALL of my documents pertaining to every aspect of my case, making keeping my paperwork organized and all together a walk in the park. My case was miserable before I hired Richard and would have been miserable without him So happy with the outcome of my case and know that if I have any future family law issues (pray to God not) that I will come straight to Mr. Eldridge's office and would be welcomed back with open arms!
