I've received outstanding legal advice and representation over the past year and I definitely recommend Attorney Lisa Thiessen and her paralegal Alyssa. Lisa and her team will look out for your best interests and provide solid legal services. They address your questions by explaining the processes until you feel comfortable moving on with the next step. They definitely have your best interests as their priority!

Lisa, did my divorce after 22 years of marriage. She was very professional and did a great job. She had great input and I count have been happier. Defiantly worth every penny I paid.

I have gone through three attorneys and my child is three. One attorney who was literally a joke and I fired him after the first court date as he stood there like a statue and could care less for my child or my case the second attorney who was just there for his money he would do the paperwork but would show up late or postponed court dates to charge me extra as now he had more court dates on his books. The third attorney I hired was Lisa Thiessen. I’ve been to court with Lisa twice and every time she has been prepared and ready to prep me a week before and the morning of court. When I met Lisa Thiessen the first time I felt a personal connection as if she is one attorney who cared about me and my child. I have one of the most challenging child custody cases that anyone has heard of. As a single parent if there is one piece of advice I can give to anyone battling a child custody case it would be to hire Lisa. She has been my attorney for the past year and I could have not made a better choice. I am finally pleased with my choice as I know I have a powerful person who not only is knowledgeable but also very understanding. Her paralegal Alyssa is also pretty amazing, they are definitely a great team as a matter of fact everyone at Diane Drew Butler & Associates is very professional and kind.

Having one of the longest and most difficult child custody cases. I strongly believe that I found a wonderful attorney. Lisa helped me fight for what was the right thing for my young daughter. Lisa, the counselors, the mediator, and the judge were all on the same page and worked so hard for me. I didn't now I was going to do and had so many questions but I am a shy person and Lisa was very understanding and I really feel that was we worked together she was very understanding and supportive.
I thank her and everyone at the law office that helped me and my daughter.

Lisa and her staff are very efficient and professional. Not only is she excellent in communicating with us as her clients, she has a good rapport with the mediators and the family law judges. Her ability to state the facts, negotiate, and when necessary argue what was needed for the benefit of the minor child was successful. It is apparent she loves what she does in helping families in difficult custody situations (as ours continues to be). I would highly recommend her.

Lisa is a not only a great attorney to work with but a great person. Lisa understands the intricacies of divorce and child custody and has helped me through the millions of questions that have come up over time. I always get a quick response from her or her office. Lisa helped me through a difficult divorce and helped to settle custody arrangements with my children and their Mother. I trust Lisa's advice and have referred coworkers to her office.

I hired Lisa almost a year ago to represent me in a family law - divorce.
Over time, I became very disappointed in the level of service and communication I received.
When I asked questions about my case, asked for guidance, and asked what I should be preparing for court there were many problems. For example, I got answers that did not address the question I asked - the answers were off topic. As time progressed, I got fewer and fewer responses at all - phone calls were not returned, e-mails were not answered, and phone conferences I made through her secretary were continuously delayed, rescheduled and eventually cancelled.
The few things she did tell me to prepare for court were irrelevant and not used. In front of the judge, the other party's lawyer spoke frequently with exaggerations - but Lisa did not respond and did not assist in refuting claims. I never even got a basic explanation of the overall divorce process.
She was rarely with me in the court building while I was sitting there waiting and hoping that we would use our time to discuss details and prepare. When she was physically near me in the court house, she was often calling and texting other clients or dealing with financial issues through her paralegal back at the office.
She did not clearly explain what happened during / after our court session - that the outcome of that day was to become my final Order. She and I kept talking about coming back to court, so I was left under the impression I could agree to a preliminary arrangement and come back to push for more.
When I e-mailed LT about inaccuracies in the Order, saying we need a plan of action to fix ‘these specific things’ (my ex even e-mailed that she agrees those certain things need to be fixed), Lisa did not respond the first couple times I called / e-mailed, then eventually responded that we needed to contact the other lawyer and work on it but never took action.
Her paralegal / support wrote our initial response documents - they had many errors. It had the wrong city as my new residence, spelled my wife’s name wrong despite it being clearly spelled and typed in the petitioner’s box, wrote a list that included the number 23 twice and skipped other numbers, had several incomplete sentences, and had other grammar / spelling errors throughout. The final product was unprofessional and reflected low quality / attention to detail.
Five months ago I tried to get a sub of attorney, which requires LT's signature. Each time I contacted her about the sub, I either got no response or was told by a secretary that she signed and returned it to my new lawyer or that she never received the request. I had to contact LT and her support staff several times over 5 months to get it done.
Then I received a bill for services that were not rendered. The alleged services included forwarding me documents (no documents were attached) as well as “advising me to get a sub of attorney” – the very thing I had been trying to accomplish for the last 5 months. I was told twice over that 5 month period by LT that the sub would be done “next day”, neither time did that occur.

I was and am still represented by Lisa Thiessen and the entire Dianne Drew Butler Family Law Firm. I am very fortunate that I have had their representation. On several occasions which took place in the family court system over the course of several years, I have had positive results concerning my divorce. Child custody, visitation, spousal support, and separation of property were all issues that were handled respectfully and with fair results. I do endorse Lisa Thiessen individually for her ability to adjust during court proceedings and protect my rights as a responsible parent and former spouse. I have recommended Lisa Thiessen to anyone who I meet in this county who discuses their family law matters with me. I simply say, Lisa Thiessen knows the laws and will do everything possible to protect your interests. Lisa Thiessen has helped me through some of the toughest times I'm sure I will ever see. I highly recommend her for solving family court issues.

I found Lisa Thiessen online through the office of Diane, Drew Butler and Associates. Upon my consultation I made it clear that I did not want a divorce but first needed to know logistical information and my legal rights. I don't think anyone ever dreams of setting foot into a Divorce Attorney's office but I was met with complete empathy and absolute professionalism. Lisa was an excellent communicator and worked with my passive husband in a fair/professional mannerism that yielded a journey without speed bumps. My divorce was considered a pretty "easy one" no kids...house to sell etc. Lisa was timely with emails, her paralegal Alyssa was wonderful and I felt that I was truly in wonderful hands; not great life circumstance but Lisa was: kind, compassionate, professional and was always ready with the next step; educating me along the way. Lisa has my utmost respect and I am eternally grateful for the positive difference she made in my life during the most difficult time in my life. In fact, I have now referred colleagues and friends to Lisa! A blessing! A top Notch Attorney!

Lisa Thiessen has taken care of everything for me. Child support, child custody, and even helped me get a 57,000 dollar judgement against my ex wife! She's very smart, thorough, and compassionate about her job. I couldn't ask for a better attorney! She gets results. Thanks for everything Lisa!!!!
