I hired Dianne Butler back in 2007. My divorce was quite complicated and time consuming. It took over a year to settle everything due to my ex-wife fighting as much as possible. At the end, my divorce and settlement with my ex tuned out very well in my favor. I did learn by going to court many times that there are many attorneys out there that do not fight for you as they should. What I have noticed by watching other attorneys in court is that they take the short cut and want to end the case. Dianne on the other hand, fought for everything that I deserved and never settled.

  • Don't expect much other than spending needless amounts of money, on an attorney that has no interest in what your going through

I needed the best for my divorce/custody . What I got was an attorney that had no interest in what was best for my children, returning phone calls ( even if I had a court date) there was never any preparation on her part until the morning of court. She mostly sends colleagues to represent me and I was never told ahead time. She never presented the huge amount of evidence she was supplied. I was told on two occasions third parties were being hired to determine hidden assets which never happened in the years it took to finalize our case. After spending tens of thousands of dollars, it was the most emotionally and financially draining experience. I hired an attorney to avoid just that. It was as if she was there to please opposing council and my drug addicted ex. She pretty much gave my ex half custody of our children who are now in counciling. I've retained another attorney who was dumbfounded by the notes I had to support my experience. She got me divorced, at my children's expense.

I came to Dianne in hopes of good changes in child custody case for the well being of my daughters, I was at a loss for words when she welcomed me in her office with such warmth and positive attitude. Dianne was able to take over what I called a broken case and waive her knowledge and her superior understanding of Family Law. Dianne rationalizes problems and approaches each situation with confidence and absolute honesty, Dianne made me feel like I had an entire team behind me. I would recommend her any day of the week. Her office associates also exemplify the characteristics which says a lot about her qualities. The result in my case was more then expected. Thank You!

I was disappointed in seeing how she operated. Clearly not up with California Law and is very unprofessional in her approach in court and with clients. The quantity in clients is clearly evident as it reflects in her poor quality represent with several cases at one time. Its appalling. Your just one of many and your best interest has a dollar value so don't be fooled for a minute her best interest is anything more the dollar signs. Good luck because this one is a completely disappointment.

Thanks to Dianne and her staff I was finally able to experience a positive result within the family court system. I have been represented by two other high profile local attorney's in previous cases and nothing went my way. Dianne was very responsive to my needs, and represented me well. With the efforts of Dianne and her staff I was able to maintain the custody of my children, and I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend Mrs. Butler for family court matters.

I hired Dianne Drew Butler to represent me in my Custody Battle. Turns out I won. But I was disappointed in Her and her staff, that they withheld information. Turns out my ex-spouse used CPS to gain more custody of the Kids and CPS stated that I was a abusive Father. The Mediator didn't think so. in fact the Mediator said I was a Good Parent and should not be pushed around by children. MY attorney did not inform me that she is friends with the personnel with the CPS and also the Women Center Of san Joaquin. In one hand she help me and the other Hand my attorney knew that I had cause to file formal complaint against her friends of the CPS and Women Center of San Joaquin County.. Keep things business no friendship.. I would never recommend to anyone...

Entered my venture, if you will, with Lindsay GM, Associate Attorney with DDB. Didn't know how it would turn out because family can be get crazy. I provided all necessary documents after retaining representation. Once the ball rolled- Associate Lindsay was my attorney. Lindsay is calm, cool, collected and didn't mind me voicing my opinion about documentation or our plan of action. Yes, I was the client and I paid, however I felt she was truly on my side. In fact, on my court date, another (female) associate entered the court Client/Attorney room (looking for Lindsay) while I was extremely upset; saw my raw emotion and said, "I'm on your side." Although she didn't represent me, her words reflected Lindsay's approach toward my case. Lindsay had to calm me down because I thought she was too nice. However, when it was game time, she was on point and made me say wow from the table. I understand everyone's situation is different and results are not the same. With that said, I appreciate DDB's firm for professionalism, team work and respect. Great job Lindsay!!!!

Dianne has been nothing less than compassionate, realistic and aggressive in my divorce case. I came to Dianne's office about a year ago and have been pleased with my experiences with herself and her staff. She has gone above and beyond my expectations; on more than one occasion she has worked with me late into the evening to accomodate my work schedule and assure progression in my case. I would highly recommend her and her associate attorneys to anyone.

  • Great knowledge but lacks follow through and commitment

I was given high recommendations about Dianne. I thought I give her a chance. I was impressed with her knowledge and expertise. She seemed aggressive, responsive and I was impressed at the efficiency up until divorce judgement. However, there was still more work to do to follow up on the court order and that's when her exceptional effort went to poor. I blame her support staff as I am guessing "she turns them loose." I spoke to a staff member and told me they sent all paper work to the court and was chastisied for rushing them. Months later I checked with court directly and they said staff didn't send them anything. I asked staff again and they admitted to nothing and no apology. They just said will "resubmit" it and asked me for documents that should of been asked for originally. It's been a year after judgement and still no follow through by staff and unfortuantely now Dianne. I am already paid up and consider some of the money "wasted". Hence, if I had to do it over I would of not chosen Dianne as did not get a solid effort from start to finish. I feel she does not have the support staff to complement her or she at least has to make them accountable for their shortcomings. I had high hopes when first hiring Dianne and never would of thought I be so disappionted.
