Due to the economic turndown in 2008 and my unscrupulous employer, I lost my employment and found myself in a situation where I had to file bankruptcy. A professional friend referred me to the Law Office of Mr. David Boone. My initial consultation with Mr. Boone was a tremendous relief on various l...evels. David immediately put me at ease with his friendliness and compassion in regards to my situation. I was impressed with his professionalism and the detailed instructions he provided as to the necessary steps in the bankruptcy process. His communication skills were excellent in that he didn't use the "Lawyer" language which can leave one walking away from such matters bewildered and confused. I found Mr. Boone's staff to be completely professional, friendly and helpful in assuring that I accurately completed all of the necessary requirements in each step of the process. As anyone would, I dreaded the court hearing but his staff had all of the necessary documents organized and ready and the hearing only took a few minutes. To my relief I was only asked one question thanks to Mr. Boone's staff being prepared for the hearing. In addition I was to extend a special thanks to Attorney Leela V. Menon and the extra effort and help she provided in handling the final stages of my bankruptcy. My case got dismissed because he would not return my calls to discuss what I should do and what my options were. I called every day for ONE MONTH and still he did not call me. The trustee even tried to call him but got no response Case was dismissed -- there was no way to stop it since he failed to t...ake any action. I have already printed out forms to file a complaint with the Cal Bar Association and am filling them out today to send in. Not happy, I had to switch attorneys because this guy doesn't return calls, doesn't use email and just a horrible bed side manner. All quantity, no quality. He supposedly does 40% of all bankruptcies in Santa Clara county but I had fallen behind in payments to the trustee and he never cared enough to... let me know how serious the situation was. He is also more expensive on average.
