Biography
Laura B. Walther has been a member of the State Bar since 1997 and has been in private practice since then in Santa Cruz County. As a civil trial attorney, Laura practices plaintiff’s personal injury law, civil rights and elder abuse causes of action, and throughout her career she has been an aggressive advocate for children that have been injured or that are at risk.
Laura has served as the President of the Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association for three full terms, and she has volunteered as the Director of the Elementary Law Program in Santa Cruz for over fifteen years. This program has both taught hundreds of students about the legal system and jury trials and allowed them to participate in mock trials in Santa Cruz and Watsonville courthouses. Furthermore, she is a regular contributor to Defensa de Mujeres, Physicians Without Borders, Ecology Action of Santa Cruz, the Santa Cruz Symphony and Greenpeace.
Laura has settled cases in excess of seven million dollars in her career, and the majority of her cases are referred to her through past clients. Laura is a passionate advocate for her clients, and receives top dollar settlements due to her relentless attention to detail and compassionate work ethic.
