Ann is a fantastic and very client friendly lawyer. Smart and knowledgeable, she is extremely well adept at handling very complex cases. Furthermore, as she is extremely organized, the evidence pulling and cross referencing process is greatly simplified. Ann is also appreciated in the lawyer community and she has been instrumental in working with opposing counsel on our case to temper what are often warped sentiments to reach a place of reason in settlement discussions. In our case Ann worked tirelessly with us and helped us secure several victories on repeated small motions by OC that were brought up as distractions in our case. I would strongly recommend her to anyone. She is a terrific attorney and she was a pleasure to work with.

Tran & Wise is a law firm specializing in family law cases in Santa Clara County. Together, Ann Wise and Rebecca Tran have over 34 years of combined practice as attorneys. We handle divorce, legal separation, custody and visitation, spousal support, child support and complex property division cases.

We develop a strategy for each case and are available for our clients. We keep our clients fully informed of the process, options and possible outcomes. Our experience with the family law process allows us to handle cases efficiently and decisively, keeping costs to a minimum. The firm uses the latest technology and can handle even the most document-intensive cases effectively, reducing the cost of the case.

The firm represents clients in both contested divorce and mediated divorce. A divorce is contested when the issues are tried in court. The spouses in a mediated divorce jointly hire Ann or Rebecca as the sole lawyer to assist them in understanding the law, filing all necessary papers, negotiating and drafting an agreement without bringing issues to the court. This is generally the most cost-effective way to obtain a divorce. We approach cases with the goal of keeping clients out of court. However, if a dispute cannot be resolved, we provide strong and effective representation in court.

At Tran & Wise, the entire team is devoted to each client's family law case.

When not at work, I enjoy reading, running, scuba diving, and horseback riding. I also enjoy travel, and have traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad.

I am a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, where I am a member of the family law section, and the State Bar of California. I am admitted to practice in all California Courts, including the Federal District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals.

Absolutely great!

Working with Ann was an excellent experience. In a matter of only a few visits with her, our mediation and divorce was complete. Ann also went out of her way to look for cost savings toward the process of mediation as well.

Outstanding attorney!

It will be hard to fully capture how much I valued Ann's legal work . . . so simply put, she was outstanding. I used Ann as a consultant as I made my way through the divorce process. She is very bright, and gets to the key points quickly. What an amazing experience!

I met Ann through a referral when I was going through my divorce. She met me quickly and looked over every detail of the pending issues in the case and narrowed down quickly on immediate steps. Every guidance and advice she gave had compassion as its underpinning and I will remain forever grateful to her for all that she did She consistently demonstrated that she wasn't out to make a buck but to put me - her client first and foremost. She met me routinely to go over the case, and helped me draft, review, critique parenting plans to financial/asset disclosures. She made sure I was factual, precise, followed the law and got my disclosures right the first time while being aware of my financial situation. Needless to say, meeting a divorce lawyer couldn't be any more joyous then going though the dark moments in ones live when everything seemed uncertain. Ann's counsel helped me gain confidence and trust in the system by which I avoided a long drawn out process. As I look back, I can't imagine a better legal expert to help in a case such as this. Paradoxically, I do hope I get to work with her again but maybe not :)

Where fairness and honesty rules........

When I learned I needed to hire a lawyer, I interviewed 4 of them, with and without a consultation fee. Because this was a highly emotional time for me, I knew I had to work with someone who would always be responsive to my questions directly, (not go through a legal assistant), be extremely fair in dealing with my ex-husband's lawyer and with my settlement (no personality histrionics please), be kind, supportive, honest and most important charge reasonable legal fees. I chose Ann because of these qualities. A year later, I was not disappointed with my settlement, nor my choice. I highly recommend her.

Highest Recommendation

Ann Wise handled my divorce with extreme professionalism and the necessary sense of urgency. My case was challenging because the person I was divorcing moved to the other side of the country, causing an issue with having him served, notarizing legal documents, and other logistics. Ann's expertise and problem solving throughout the process gave me peace of mind and kept the case moving to a settlement out of court. Despite several obstacles, she insured my divorce was final at the soonest possible legal date. The team at Tran & Wise were professional as well as compassionate throughout the entire process, and their efficiency kept my legal fees reasonable.

HIGHLY recommend Ann Wise

Fair and Dedicated Attorney - Ann E. Wise

I had an outstanding legal team and Ann Wise was part of that team. My divorce took a few years and through those years I found Ann to be very professional, detail oriented and understanding. She is a great listener and worked diligently on getting a fair settlement for both sides. Excellent Service

I met a several attorneys before I decided to have Ann as my attorney for divorce. She is personable and professional at the same time. Most of all, she was easy to talk to. She is very responsive. I emailed her all throughout the process which took about a year and I got response right away within few hours. I asked a good amount of questions and addressed all my concerns to her and she provided me with a lot of information and reasonable suggestions. I never had any issue about billing from her office. I received a refund check of remaining credit right after my divorce. I highly recommend Ann if you need a legal service for family matters.

Great! No non-sense realistic approach

I've hired Ann Wise from the firm that she was apart of over 4 years ago. She is very intelligent and easy to work with. I am a father who was seeking equal custody for over 14 years and in eventually received primary custody of my son in 2010. (The Family Court judicial system is bias against males) It was a difficult accomplishment which has paid off tremendously for my son and his future. I would highly recommend hiring Ann not only for his skills, but because she is a wonderful person.

An awesome attorney

Ann took my divorce case over after the lawyer I was originally working with had to leave the firm for personnal reasons.I was quite concerned but when Ann stepped in I knew I had nothing to worry about.
