Richard Edmund Paris

I was wrongfully sued by a former contractor who had helped build my house. Richard was indispensable in helping me WIN that case. Instead of BSing around in arbitration, my case was transferred to superior court, where the judge found for me, WITH PREJUDICE. How often does THAT happen??? I int...end to use Richard again, soon, to help me get all my assets into a revocable living trust, because I want a very specific line of beneficiaries prioritized in a bit of a non-traditional way, and I know Richard can provide more than the boiler-plate forms so I can rest easy that my estate will be properly distributed.

A friend of mine referred me to Mr. Paris after I had been working with another lawyer and wasn't getting results. Richard helped me finish my divorce, which involved a lot of property, and he negotiated an excellent settlement for me. He is also a mediator but my ex wasn't willing to do mediation ...so everything had to go through the court. I probably was't the easiest client, particularly since I hadn't had such good experiences with prior lawyers. Richard made sure I understood everything that was going on. There's no getting around the fact that it costs a lot to hire a lawyer, but I went over his bill with a fine-tooth comb and everything was very fair. I have used Richard several times in dealing with my wife's X-Husband. It's a very, very tricky and delicate situation and Richard has given me really solid advice time and again, and has managed to actually keep me more or less OUT of court, which I consider to be the greatest service an attorney c...an provide. He's also advised me in some real estate issues and represented me in a very terrifying and serious harassment situation wherein I was actually worried about the welfare of my family. Don't expect him to candy-coat your situation. He'll be straight with you and give you a good idea of the odds of coming out on top. He also knows the judicial make-up over at the civic center ... knowing the judges and their disposition and the way they tend to rule is HUGE and a big part of the legal strategizing. Im writing this and seeing two negative reviews in the right hand column and am a bit baffled. I've never been over billed and he hasn't make any mistakes in my dealing with him. He's a good guy and a hard worker who knows his business and all the stuff he's done for me has definitely been done and billed in a fair way.
