I was in the process of starting divorce proceedings and I needed an attorney. After checking with another attorney-referral service and looking over the backgrounds of other lawyers, I contacted Richard Paris. I met with him and he spent quite a bit of time answering my questions and explaining the... law to me. He was generous with his time and obviously very knowledgeable and experienced. He jumped right into my case, which was highly contested. In very difficult circumstances he achieved a good settlement. Throughout our working relationship, I found Richard to be an excellent communicator. When I had questions, he quickly got back to me and explained the law as it applied to my case in clear, easily understood language. I also found him to be extremely capable, coming up with solid legal support for our positions. Most importantly, he was compassionate and understanding. Richard provided great value. Since my case ended, I’ve called him a few times to ask some questions and he’s always been willing to talk to me on the phone. I have no hesitation in recommending Richard to anyone who needs a skilled and professional attorney.

A friend of mine referred me to Mr. Paris after I had been working with another lawyer and wasn't getting results. Richard helped me finish my divorce, which involved a lot of property, and he negotiated an excellent settlement for me. He is also a mediator but my ex wasn't willing to do mediation ...so everything had to go through the court. I probably was't the easiest client, particularly since I hadn't had such good experiences with prior lawyers. Richard made sure I understood everything that was going on. There's no getting around the fact that it costs a lot to hire a lawyer, but I went over his bill with a fine-tooth comb and everything was very fair. Richard is extremely tenacious, he is exactly the kind of person you want fighting for you. I'm so happy I hired him and that my divorce is finally over!
