A Demand Letter was suppose to be written. Mr. Yorkey provided a questionnaire to be completed and returned. As requested completed the questionnaire within 1 day. At the bottom of the questionnaire it states that "the goal is to have each demand letter drafted within a week", along with "your pa...tience is aporeciated". After 10 days, I kindly asked in my correspondence if he could provide a date when the letter will go out. His response was that he was working on it and he would provide a draft when completed. He still didn't provide me with any additional information. On the 13th day (3 more additional days) I contacted Metlife Legal Plan, requesting assistance on finding another attorney. I still continued to check my email for the next 2 days to see if it was sent. As of this writing, I have yet to receive a draft Demand Letter for review. BEWARE WORST ATTORNEY EVER!!!!! If you’re interested in an attorney that “ghosts” you this is the guy! Four months into a very sensitive case involving a dementia elder parent and this attorney disappears. This is after disclosing personal information, many documents being completed I have been unabl...e to reach this attorney by email, phone messages and texts. I will say this attorney has no empathy no compassion and clearly does not care about his clients. The lack of communication throughout this entire case has been completely unacceptable. AND if you want to work with an attorney has no regard for safeguarding confidential information and doesn’t accept encrypted emails he again is your guy!! This attorney has no integrity and I hope no one goes through what I’ve gone through. It’s already been a tough situation and now to have to start all over is just devastating. If you’re shopping for an attorney KEEP SHOPPING you DO NOT want Darryl Yorkey!!!!!

I have been working with Darryl for 8 months now and he has been hyper responsive and AMAZING to work with. He is helping me with my immigration paperwork and his light hearted attitude and willingness to go above and beyond has made the painful experience of applying much more enjoyable. I highly r...ecommend him as he knows how to get it done when other attorneys were not so helpful and had discouraging attitudes. He takes a "nothing is going to get in the way of getting this done" approach which you need when hiring legal counsel.

Mr Yorkey just stood me up for a document signing meeting. I drove an hour to Berkeley and waiting an hour for him. He never showed up and never phoned nor emailed. Emailing with him up to this point has also been a bit difficult: It seemed difficult to get concrete answers from him for my questions.... Do NOT use this guy.
