Didn’t Feel she had my best interests at heart - Did NOT go above & Beyond

To start. I had never been convicted of anything other than a speeding ticket. This was EXTREMLEY difficult process to go through. Julia was the first attorney I found. Hindsight I should have shopped around. But as I was making ALL these decisions alone, under incredible duress, I went with Jul...ia. I had to go to her office. In Oakland. Met with her briefly. My first court appearance, she was not even there. She had a temp attorney fill in. This was about an emotionally abusive relationship I got into right after a loveless marriage of 17 years ended by me. I was not aware how vulnerable I was. And I happened to meet a man who was a master womanizer, manipulative and con artist. Disguised as a man of every woman’s dreams. Having never experienced true love; this man convinced me HE was it. (In my weakened state of course). It was a horror story of a relationship in which more than several times I attempted to move out and find an apartment. He always reeled me back into the sickness. I was hooked. It came to a head when I could no longer take his going out with “friends”. Always woman. I might add his girlfriend prior to me was 17 years. So I’m sure he broke the law there. He is just clever. Outsmarts everyone. Cause he has NO emotional connection to anyone. Didn’t show emotions on his face. Only with words. Anyway I got mad at him and wanted to get back at him and hurt him. Usually stupid stuff. Following him. Sending hate texts. Lots of texts and emails. Harmless stuff. That I realize now was wrong and very harmful to me. He got a restraining order. And after me obeying it for weeks HE reached out to me again and I was not strong enough to resist. Long story short. It blew up again and this time he pushed for me to be charged. I went to jail. After getting Julia. I was mad3 to go to court very few weeks. A tactic I see now to emotionally wear down the defendant so they take a plea. I was made to feel like I had committed murder. I was arrested over a few emails sent. I couldn’t take it anymore. I was a crying emotional wreck who felt very alone. I wanted to go to court. Because honestly I don’t think this scum bag would have wanted to. Julia made me feel like I had no choice. She said I would get convicted. So I agreed to a plea. First the terms were really bad. I had to get them to reduce the conditions. By fear the WORST experience of my life. Now I don’t trust men at all and barely trust people. I do have a great job and have been there almost 2 years. I reached out to Julia to let her know I was doing better. She never responded. I do not recommend this attorney. Very dissatisfied with the whole experience with her and how she handled my case. I didn’t feel she was on my side.

Hardest Working Attorney

Let me start by saying that I have never had a good/trusting experience when dealing with lawyers. Working with the Law Offices of Julia Deutsch was the first time that I felt like my case was important and that I wasn't being taking advantage or lied to. Deutsch worked hard and earned a successful o...utcome. About me: I've had a pretty good run in with my share of legal troubles. I am a convicted felon and I have spent 2 years of my life being locked up. I have about 20 years experience dealing with lawyers and criminal cases. Brief description of my case: I was arrested on a felony charge late on a labor day weekend night. After Deutsch was contacted (right after my arrest), she immediately came to see me at the county jail. When I bailed out the next day, I met with Deutsch to discuss my case. She had a plan right from the start and she started working with me on it that same night. The following day she was on the phone with all my references and resources getting information to help my case. My court date was the following day at 2:00 pm. We were both up early emailing each other last minute documents and resources because she set up a 8:30 am appoinment with the DA to discuss my case. Deutsch convinced the DA to dismiss all charges and to drop the whole case. Might I add that "THIS WAS ALL BEFORE MY FIRST APPEARANCE"!!! She did an amazing job. I never thought that the she would get the whole case dismissed. I thought that she would of got the charges dropped down to a misdemeanor and at least a year of probation. It blew my mind. I would highly recommend the criminal law services of Julia Deutsch. The hardest working criminal attorney that I have ever met... and I have met a lot.

"My understanding is that recently Ms. Deutsch has started working with a criminal defense non-profit in the Bronx of New York. Although she has studied other areas of law too, her passion is to be the best criminal defense attorney she can be. I endorse this lawyer."
