Diego E. Ortiz

I graduated from Golden Gate School of Law in 1990.  Passed the California Bar exam on the first attempt and started working for a general legal practice law firm in San Francisco, CA. I am licensed to practice in the Federal Courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. I've litigated cases through the State Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals successfully. In 1993, I opened my own law practice in Oakland, CA with emphasis on criminal defense and civil litigation.  I continue to represent clients in both Federal and State Courts on every type of criminal accusation such as murder, sexual assault, drug trafficking, domestic violence, DUI, kidnapping, identity theft, fraud, and all other felonies and misdemeanors.

I am what is considered a "lawyer's lawyer." I live, breath and love my profession and advocating for my clients. I know the legal system extremely well and use it to my client's advantage at every opportunity.  I have represented thousands of clients and successfully resolved their legal problems.  I am experienced, have a excellent reputation for being honest, knowledgeable and extremely reliable. I am bilingual in Spanish (speak, read and write) and have represented much of the Latino community for close to three decades.
