At my most vulnerable and not knowing what my future held somehow I found Louis Goodman. It’s hard to articulate into words my sincere gratitude for this human. Yes, he is an outstanding lawyer, but more than that he is a person that cares about you and your case. It was a 14 month process from be...ginning to end, with my case. During this time, I was unsure of what my future held and many times thought the worst would happen to me. There is not ONE single moment in which Mr. Goodman was not positive and reassuring with my case. I definitely knew I was in capable hands and felt confident that he was the best lawyer. I don’t say this lightly, he is in my humble opinion, the best criminal defense lawyer in Alameda County. I cannot recall any occurrence where he did not respond back by email or phone when I had a question or concern. During periods of just “waiting” until my next court date- I would listen to his podcast “Love Thy Lawyer” and hearing Mr. Goodman’s voice and his interviews with different lawyers and people that are in the legal arena was a huge source of support to me. There is something very calming to hear your lawyer on such an engaging podcast and realizing how capable he truly is. Without a doubt, I felt as though I was so lucky/fortunate to have made the call and had him as my council. Ultimately, after multiple felony charges were filed against me I listened to what advised me to do. I knew to not deviate, to stay the course because he was advising what was best for me. This resulted in the best outcome. It did come at an economic cost in restitution, but because I listened to Mr. Goodman and was compliant with his expert advice my case was finally dismissed. I could not even have fathomed a better outcome. In no way, could I have imagined the end result being what it was. My only regret, is that I will no longer have a legal reason to contact Mr. Goodman but he will always be a friend that was there for me in the darkest of times. Also, I can always hear his podcast! If you are in a situation where you need the best criminal defense lawyer- do not hesitate for a moment- call Mr. Goodman. It will be the best decision you make. This is how my experience was, and I will always be eternally grateful to him for that.

Louis and his team was amazing in giving us guidance on what to do next. He listened to our situation very patiently, and walked us through many possible scenarios, with a very clear chances of in which direction our case might go through. He is very clear and upfront about the pricing and does offer... free consultation to the clients. He didn't scare us or try to lure or intimidate us or did any kind of trick to win our business and I really like that honesty. He is really knowledgeable and I'd recommend him for your case. I contacted Mr. Goodman on a Saturday and within an hour or two he called me to get a brief grasp of my issue. We then scheduled a meeting for the following Monday where we discussed my matter even further. This was my first time being involved with the criminal justice system and he assisted me thro...ugh the process. Prices were reasonable considering the circumstances. Hands down the best in the business. I highly recommend him.

No sexy or high end offices from this Louis but his results were extraordinary and frankly as a criminal defendant I was sure I was going to do time and he managed to get me off on a diversion program and I am looking at a complete dismissal in 12 months. The fees were reasonable. He was real good ab...out communicating and his personal relationships made navigating my case in the maze of the legal system much easier. I appreciated Louis and I frankly hope I never have to use his services in the Criminal Justice System but I would For always be thankful to him and highly recommended any one facing criminal charges to hire Louis. Mr. Goodman represented me 17 years ago when I was in High School for a difficult situation. He was so easy to work with, very easy to talk to, extremely wise and insightful. He represented me in court several times and helped to have my case dismissed.
