We have worked with Dorothy Peters since 2008 on numerous trusts and other family business. We have been impressed with her expertise, professionalism and attention to detail in every matter we have presented to her. So, when my siblings and I were experiencing difficulties with our deceased mother's... attorney, who was drawing up a simple accounting of her estate (family trust) for the beneficiaries, it was natural for us to turn to Ms. Peter's. After 5 months of waiting for a simple accounting from our mother's attorney (which we were told would take 2 weeks), we enlisted Ms. Peter's help. She assisted us in drafting a letter releasing our mother's attorney and Ms. Peters took over the accounting of the family trust. The accounting of the trust was completed in 2 weeks and the trust funds distributed to the beneficiaries. Ms. Peters was outstanding in attending to every detail and true to her word! Dorothy Peters brings a very high level of professionalism and expertise to the table when you engage her to assist you with estate planning and probate matters. Used Dorothy for Estate Planning. It was not pleasant. She talks down to you and wasn't consultative in her approach. She asked us to complete some information and give her our instructions for the trust. We did that and she simply cut and pasted them into a document. She did zero checking to... see if there were any conflicts with the language we drafted against her boilerplate, which there were. The burden was on us to find the issues. When we asked her on why she didn't advise on this, she got defensive and started down the path of blaming us, so we decided to disengage with her. There are much better options out there. Go find one, like we did.
