Biography
Stacy has an expertise in all aspects of employment law. She litigates wrongful termination claims, wage and hour independent contractor and exemption misclassification claims, unpaid bonuses and commissions, severance pay disputes, breach of contract actions, alleged unfair competition and theft of trade secrets, sexual harassment and whistleblower retaliation cases. Stacy also prosecutes and defends representative actions under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
Stacy has tried cases in superior court, federal court, arbitration and administrative proceedings. Stacy also advises employees and employers regarding employment contracts, executive compensation packages, and severance agreements. Stacy conducts wage and hour audits for employers and counsels start-ups regarding best practices for new entities.
Prior to founding Berman North LLP, Stacy was a Partner at Pierce & Shearer LLP with Scott Berman where she practiced employment law and business litigation.
