KK, Ex Lifer

My family retained Mr. Carbone for my 7th board hearing, He worked with me for over a year preparing for my hearing, He was always up front with me and let me know what I needed to do to obtain parole, and in was no cake walk but with Charles guidance and his support I'm a free man now and I truly be...lieve without his help and guidance I would still be in prison, He gave me the tools and knowledge to go into that hearing and achieve my freedom.

I AM FREE TODAY BECAUSE OF CHARLES!!!!!

I am able too, with pleasure, write this post, because of the professionalism, insight, dedication and hard work Charles displayed while handling my case. I had proclaimed my innocence since my arrest and it appeared to fall on deaf ears (at-least when it comes to attorneys). My past experience was d...ismal at best. All that "they" made sure to be on top of was, their fee. I was blessed to have Charles in my corner. He was able to see through all the extenuating circumstances and get to the heart of the case. In doing so, He was able to ferret out the truth and I am free today because of this. The time between when my family called him and, when he visited me, it was 3 days. During that meeting he was able to formulate a game plan and he followed through to a tee. He was amazing with my family and friends and made me feel heard and supported. At the hearing, he garnered the respect and attention from the BPH commissioners as well as the DA. He performed brilliantly and did so without seemingly having to work at it. His intelligence and knowledge of the law is remarkable. And most importantly, he is a decent man with a big heart! He cares and made me feel supported. It is without reservation that I fully endorses Mr. Charles Carbone! He is the REAL DEAL!!!!!

Simply Put...The Right Man For The Job!

In the years before retaining Charles Carbone to be my incarcerated daughter's attorney in 2007, my daughter had already appeared before a Parole Board a few times, and had been denied each time. During those appearances, my daughter had struggled with being forthcoming while answering the Board's q...uestions, usually because the Board wanted explicit answers regarding the nature of her crime, and my daughter was still having trouble verbalizing details. As soon as Charles became involved with my daughter's case, she became more self-confident. His support allowed her to believe that she deserved to be set free, and his relentless preparation helped guide her focus toward the most pertinent issues of her case. Together, they developed such a trust in each other that she was then able to reach, and then face, her intermost fears which, in turn, allowed her to present a more stable psychological profile before the Board. In late 2008, I was devastated financially by the economic/bank meltdown, and was rendered unable to continue my financial support for my daughter's legal fees. Instead of dropping the case, like 95% of all lawyers out there would have done, Charles forged ahead with my daughter's case pro-bono until such time as I could get back on my feet financially, and citing as his only excuse that: "I believe she deserves to be set free!" Since Charles Carbone has been involved with my daughter's parole attempts, she has obtained a "Suitable For Parole" verdict from three consecutive, different Parole Boards, all of which have then been denied by the Governor's office. My daughter is still incarcerated today because of those denials but, in no way, should that imply a deficiency in Charles' representation. He's done everything necessary to get those decisions to the Governor's desk. The positive recommendation from the Governor's own Board SHOULD be enough, especially after reaching that level three times. After that, the only explanation available is that there must be some sort of politics involved which, I believe, is something Charles has no control over. Our appeal of the latest denial is under way and our only hope, at this point, seems to be to catch whomever is going to make this next decision having "a good day"! In summary, Charles Carbone has had such a positive impact on my daughter's outlook in life, and in her state of mind in general, that I could never imagine anyone else more capable than he is at handling my daughter's representation. We've got the right man for the job, and now, as a lifelong friend. Thank you for your time.

The attorney who "KNOWS" how to get the job done and "DOES." Don't fret.

My family hired Charles Carbone in 2012 to represent me at my initial board hearing. In dealing with Mr. Carbone I was not always happy. He seemed very busy and hard to get ahold of at times. He was short in conversation and always quick to the point. However, inside the board room Carbone was ge...nius. He played a strategy best fitting to my strengths while overshadowing my weaknesses. At my first board hearing Carbone asked me to take a 3-year denial, which I did. July 31, 2014 I went back to the board with Carbone and got a date. In hearing both of Carbone's closing arguments from my first hearing to my second hearing, I was able to recognize that he had a great plan. Carbone is definitely strategic in his dealings and methodical in his planning. Although I admit that he was frustrating to work with at times, I still give him a thumbs up. He is excellent at getting positive results. He did not hold my hand through the process but did navigate me to a date at my second hearing notwithstanding my prison record. He also cleared additional brushfires set ablaze by the DA's office. Frankly, he not only shredded the DA's argument for denial, but also discredited the DA's official account of the facts of my case that they presented before the board. I did not know that Carbone knew so much about my case. The common talk amongst inmates is that the attorney is only there to protect your rights. I found that not to be true in my case. Carbone not only protected my rights but also enacted them so that they had a voice of their own. He also tied up loose ends by taking key words and phrases that I said throughout the course of my hearings and put them into his closing to smooth out any questions or doubts about their meaning. He did a great job in interpreting to the board what I was trying to say because I did not say it well. Bottom line, Charles Carbone is an excellent attorney. He fights hard for his clients, and is definitely one of the best in the business. He is not one to hold your hand through the process, but is very knowledgeable of the law, trustworthy, and an excellent attorney. I highly recommend him.

Freedom through Excellence. An attorney along with four others we looked into for BPH in California for "Lifer" suitability.

Anyone want to know how to be an attorney which brings not just credit to a long suffering employment title ? Mr. Charles Carbone is such an incredibly gifted attorney- I'll stand on top of a mountain to speak about what he has done for me and my family. I'm free because of his work, dedication to de...tails, incredible memory and the drive to make my freedom a reality. Going to BPH is difficult enough; politics, victims opposition and the offense... I was prepared. Charles prepped me over and above. You get what you pay for, but Charles went way beyond. Any negative reviews should be taken with a grain of salt- I'm free. Charles, you are amazing and hope you won't go into another field. You could make more money but won't be changing lives as you do. My family and I song your praises !!!!!!!
