What a disappointment!!!

It took a lot for my friends family to just come up with the money for him. He's been locked up since he was 22 years old and now he's in his 50s he was really hoping to get out this time because he had a good attorney on his side. Mr Carbone was supposed to visit him twice before his hearing he neve...r came to visit him at all! Did absolutely nothing to prepare him for his parole hearing and at the time of the hearing the only person that even made an objection was my friend himself. He had to take a break and tell his attorney why he was objecting then he went and objected for him and in the end he was denied parole again. This guy seems to have great reviews but in some cases he seems to have some terrible ones too he did not prepare my friend at all he really should replace his money so he can get a decent attorney because just coming up with that money was way more than he could have done his family had to have fundraisers etc just to come up with the money now he needs to find a whole other lawyer and has no money to do so what a disappointment

Carbone represented lifer inmate at parole hearing

My husband had his parole hearing and was represented by this absolutely atrocity of a lawyer. I paid all money upfront immediately and this man had the audacity to ask the parole board to deny my husband parole. He made no argument to ask for a parole grant, he did this before the board could even a...sk for closing arguments. He outlined things that the board didn’t even ask about to make my husbands case worse. Do not hire this man, he is absolutely the worst lawyer I’ve ever worked with and he is criminal himself taking peoples money only to make their case worse off.

Beware

He robbed my family of $12,000. He did a horrible habeas corpus that was immediately time barred.

Blessed are those who work for Peace

I shall have wrote this review years back when he was hired. My family hired to provide the services as a lawyer but that was not the case. My family had faith and were hopeful. By all means now - He was informative, receptive at first but after receiving the first part of the money he neglected the ...case. I had no knowledge or experience and let him run the case how he choose to. He then received the second part of the money and came back to inform he had done his work and left my family in the same situation. It’s sad when those take advantage of the those who lack knowledge. I reported him to the BAR per advice of another attorney and set my peace. I forgive you and send you light. May you be given strength in your karma pattern.

I would give zero stars

He was great at first informative answered calls took weekend calls said retainer would be $20,000. Would need half now and half later. And if things weren’t working out he would refund the money. No legal contract of what he was hired for. So it comes to half way and states our cases was denied with... no reason by the court, so we wouldn’t need to pay the rest of my balance. He told us 3 points of his appeal He did not have those in the appeal he filed without letting myself look at it like he said I would be able to. He made empty promises And said he would extend an olive branch by appealing an issue we had with the prison rules. Which he never did. Never got my transcripts back either.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I absolutely endorse Mr. Carbone for his excellent work representing a family member who achieved a parole grant at his initial lifer hearing. Mr. Carbone is an outstanding advocate for his clients and clearly demonstrates his passion for what he does. He definitely sets the bar for other lawyers in our community."
