Shauna Lea Matlin

Shauna L. Matlin is the principal at Matlin & Associates and has practiced law as a licensed attorney with the State Bar of California since 1996. 

Parlaying her extensive experience as a property manager and as an attorney she founded this firm and represents Landlords in most Bay Area Counties.  Shauna Matlin specializes in litigation, pre-litigation resolution,real estate and criminal matters. Her focus is in the areas of landlord / tenant law, real estate law, and criminal law.

Before starting Matlin & Associates, Shauna Matlin worked at the Sheppard - Rosen Law Firm, and as an Attorney and Property Manager for Grosvenor Properties, Ltd.

Shauna Matlin has appeared numerous times at the San Francisco Rent Board on behalf of landlords. Shauna Matlin has also appeared and represented Landlords at San Jose Rent Board hearings and mediations.  Shauna Matlin has also represented, Landlords (residential and commercial) in both litigation and pre-litigation disputes.  

Shauna Matlin also has extensive experience in criminal law. Before practicing civil law, Shauna Matlin worked as an Assistant District Attorney where she took numerous cases to trial and where she made thousands of court appearances.   Shauna Matlin worked in both San Francisco's District Attorneys Offices (1993-1996) and San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office (1996 - 1997). Shauna Matlin has also defended numerous defendants in criminal cases over the last 8 years.

Since the year 2000, Shauna Matlin has performed legal services for several players on the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Athletics. She provides legal services to professional baseball players and helps them find housing during the Baseball season.

Shauna Matlin graduated from California Western School of Law in 1995, and received the "Outstanding Achievement in Law School Award" from Who's Who of American Law Students, for the 1995 -1996 year. Shauna Matlin received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University in 1991.
