Alison Blythe Kwan

Alison practices in the areas of intellectual property and complex civil litigation. She has a passion for handling technology and Internet law matters, with a particular interest in the application of legal concepts to new media. Alison has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, from pre-trial demands through discovery and from depositions, settlement discussions and up through trial.

Among her representative matters, Alison second-chaired a contention “revenge porn” trial and obtained a judgment of $250,000 for the plaintiff client. Her clients include advertisers, ad networks, and affiliate publishers in various spam lawsuits or pre-litigation threats to file spam lawsuits; online retailers in trademark and domain name disputes, as well as UDRP domain name arbitrations. In addition, she represents authors of content published on the Internet in copyright infringement claims against competitors and has litigated on behalf of photo agencies in copyright infringement suits for the unauthorized use of its photographs.

Alison obtained her J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law. Pursuing her high-technology interests in the heart of Silicon Valley, Alison focused her studies on intellectual property issues and served as a Symposium Editor of the Santa Clara University Computer & High Technology Law Journal. She received a B.A. in English with a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Before joining Kronenberger Rosenfeld, Alison was an associate at Bradshaw & Associates, where she practiced extensively in civil litigation in both state and federal court. She has handled cases involving business and contract disputes, trade secret misappropriation, and defamation. Alison is a member of the State Bar of California and the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.
