Stephen James Camber

    Stephen J. Camber has been a uniquely qualified expert in the legal and dispute resolution fields for 40 plus years. He has been in practice as an Attorney for 41 years; has been a Mediator and Arbitrator for 30 years; and has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1998. He has a broad and varied expertise, as an Attorney, Mediator/Arbitrator and Educator in: Real Estate transactions, including commercial and residential purchase and leasing, and related Landlord/Tenant, and Joint Ownership matters; Probate, Trust and Estate Planning; Intellectual Property, including Copyright, Trademark and the visual, performing, and literary arts; General Business, including the formation, management and dissolution of Partnerships, Corporations (both for-profit and not-for-profit), and Limited Liability Companies.
    As a licensed Real Estate Broker, he offers experience and expertise in all facets of real property transactions, including residential and commercial sales and leasing. 
    His principal avocation throughout his career has been the provision of legal services and education to Artists and Art Organizations as a founding Director (for 41 years) and President (for 25 years) of California Lawyers for the Arts (CLA), a state-wide California Bar Association providing legal referrals, education, mediation and arbitration services, and housing services to artists and arts professionals. He is a co-founder of Art Arbitration and Mediation Services, Arts Resolution Services, and ArtHouse, which are all programs of CLA. For his work with CLA he was awarded, in 1993 by Board of Governors of the California State Bar, a Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Services.
