Writing a patent and the claims was inefficient and, as a consequence, slow and expensive. At some point Jens did not return corrections t the next version of the draft (and my phone calls!) for a few days even though we were on a very tight schedule. Finally, after my frustrated message on the phone..., an hour or so later he sent me the file with some "blah" corrections. As arrogant as he is, he did not even care about the timestamps on the MS-Word track changes function! He only worked on my document for 8 minutes (exactly why the "blah") but later charged me for 45 min or so. I didn't confront him on the issue fearing that he may become even more indifferent to my case. He was never proactive and never informed me on the status of application. It took him 2 months to notify me on the publication and prior art search... Weeks after I downloaded everything myself. Then he missed a deadline from patent office... I fired him and got a different lawyer who is cheaper, smarter, and a lot more efficient.
