Greg received his Juris Doctorate from Concord Law School in July 2010 and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Oregon in December 1995.

Attorney for Leases for Commercial Businesses and Property
I highly recommend Greg Chilina for legal representation. I was Trustee of a commercial building and its property. Two businesses had been renting space for many years and neither had a lease. Independently, each business had an opportunity to sell, contingent on having sound, legal leases. Each prospective buyer had an attorney to ensure that the leases were in their client's best interest. There were also time constraints to complete the sales. I was stunned by the timing, my lack of knowledge and my responsibility. I scheduled a consultation with Mr. Chilina based on what I read about him on the internet! I described my plight and he gave me a clear explanation of what would need to be done. I agreed and Greg quickly initiated the processes. Despite the timing constraints, Mr. Chilina devised two leases to the satisfaction of everyone, prior to the deadlines. Additionally, he greatly improved the value of the property. Greg needed to communicate with two different lawyers, advise me regarding what documentation he would need from me. We discussed decisions that would protect both the tenants and the owner. I had a highly successful outcome for all my legal needs. Greg's knowledge, experience and excellent communication skills made negotiations go smoothly. I have great confidence in Greg's professional abilities. He is a clear communicator and gave me excellent advice. I was also able to sell the building and property due to the new tenants having excellent leases. Greg was great to work with. I learned a lot from this experience. I appreciate his kindness, friendly manner and patience!

Very Helpful.....Down to Earth common sense...
My wife and I were referred to the Chilina Law firm by a friend to help with a real-estate contract matter. We were both impressed by Greg's ability to listen and understand the situation we had found ourselves in. Excellent Probate Attorney
I reached out to Greg Chilina after my family asked me to manage the estate of my step-mom who passed unexpectedly. The will had not been updated in 46 years which brought its own challenges as well as easement issues on the 11 acre property which needed to be prepared for a sale. Greg was supportive, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. He made regular contact with me and provided clear and concise written communication that assisted me in keeping the heirs apprised of the progress of the estate settlement process. In our situation we also needed an experienced CPA. I asked if Greg could recommend a local firm which he did. Not being from San Luis Obispo County, I appreciated the professional relationships Greg developed in the local area as my family benefitted from those services including real estate, banking and an accounting firm. I can recommend, without reservation, Greg Chilina to anyone seeking legal assistance for probate matters.

I contacted Greg Chilina after receiving a letter threatening legal action against me (successor trustee) from a beneficiary of my Mom and Dad's estate. Shortly after the letter arrived, I was served at my front door with a lawsuit from the attorney of the beneficiary. I met Greg in his office, inundated him with questions and his answers were clear and to the point. He provided reassuring counsel and advice. I trusted him and he certainly knew what he was doing. Everything went smoothly and everything was explained along the way, from litigation to mediation. Straightforward, consistent, excellent service
My husband and I hired Greg Chilina after working with another attorney for over a year with little progress. The defendant was unresponsive to all notifications, until Greg Chilina stepped in. We found him by referral from the SLO County Bar Association and I’m grateful we did! He listened to the entire, complex situation, gave us multiple scenarios for next steps and let us know how much to expect to spend. His estimates were accurate, his team communicated quickly and effectively with all involved and the result from mediation (excellent group recommended by the Chilina team) was the best we could have hoped for. The defendant, as trustee, had greatly reduced the estate, lost valuable property, heirlooms, etc. and looked judgement-proof. With excellent service and clear strategy, Greg Chilina changed what looked like a total loss into a successful regain of a former estate. My husband and I look forward to working with him in the future and would highly recommend him and his team.

Contract for a Lot Line Adjustment
We recently were introduced to Chilina Law Firm by a local real estate group. We were in need of a contract that would not only satisfy us but also work for the other party involved. Greg was very efficient and concise in the work he did for us. He was able to gather the information, translate it and deliver a very precise contract which needed very little revision. excellent experience.
We used Greg and his wife Karen on a real property research issue, they were ready when I got to the office, and their questions were great. They completed the research and an extensive opinion letter (including allot of property history that I didn't know and found very helpful) in the time committed to and under estimated cost. Went the Extra Mile
I have heard lots of attorney jokes in my life, so when I needed an attorney, I wasn't very excited about the prospect. I had such a positive experience working with Greg, that I'll never tell another attorney joke (well, maybe one or two). Greg was extremely knowledgeable - which one would expect. But what I didn't expect was his responsiveness, his ability to put "legalese" into plain English, and his talent for thinking beyond the obvious. I had been very upfront about my financial situation but he found a way to work within my budget while giving me top dollar attention and advice. He thoroughly described my options, the pros and cons of each, and what each option looked like from a dollar perspective. I never doubted for a minute that I was receiving excellent advice from someone who not only knew the law but exhibited kindness and understanding as well.

Someone you can trust!
Being in a situation where you need legal advice, but you have been scammed by an attorney previously, I can't state strongly enough the relief I felt to find someone I could trust to really think of my best interests. Greg is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I needed help to decide a course of action with some mortgage issues that I was struggling with. We discussed multiple options including bankruptcy, settling the debt, etc. I believe Greg gave my case abundant thought and he was realistic in his expectations of my success with the various options. I also feel his background in banking, specifically with special assets, gave him a unique insight of my issues that was invaluable to me. His fees were reasonable and well documented. I have worked with Mr. Chilina in the past regarding some mortgage and real estate issues.
