Paige M Etcheverry-Barnes

I hired Ms. Etcheverry because I was in the middle of a highly contested divorce case. I have had two other attorneys over the last three years and I can't say enough positive about Ms. Etcheverry. She was always available to me as she gave out her cell phone and answered my text at almost any ...time of the day. She told me exactly what to expect and how we were going to be able to obtain what I wanted . Because of her I was finally able to go finish my divorce case successfully. I am extremely thankful I hired her.

Hired this attorney to represent my mother. She required a down payment of 4500 after convincing us she will fight for our mother. This attorney was supposed to set up a three way meeting with the other party to discuss an agreement. We constantly called asking when she was going to set this meetin...g up. We continued to get her secretary promising us the attorney would get the message and gave us the run around. We sent emails to this attorney with paperwork that was required from court only for her to always claim she never received them. After a year of giving us the run around my mother finally spoke up to the attorney reminding her of all the irresponsibility and lack of representation in a kindly manner, only for this attorney to threaten my mother of discontinuing her services. After milking us of the money we put into her. This was very disappointing. This attorney is very good with convincing you of her services but fails to come through. I wish I would of known better before investing in her.

I wish there was another lower rating scale below poor, because that is what Paige is. She is Terrible! It has been one of the most frustrating times in my life!! She was frustrating!! I do not know how ohers can rate this woman as an excellent attorney. I believe she takes on EVERY case and she is... VERY QUICK to take your money, but be prepared to NEVER get a phone call back. The receptionist has her head in the clouds and seems to not have a clue of what is going on in the office . I do not know how she got that job. As far as being represented by Paige, I had to do all of the leg work, ask and ask again what is going on. I had to give her ideas, and sent her many emails pleading for her help. She NEVER spoke to me before any hearings, if I even had one. HMMMM, let's see, I had her for almost two years and almost every hearing was either postponed or canceled. The cancels were because she lost her car keys in LA, her daughter was in the hopital and this excuse happened two times, she was sick, the minors council was sick, and her daughter as well. A few others I can not remember. After almost two years of this and $7000 later, the case was still not completed. She charges the minimum of a 1/2 hour even if it was a 5 minute telephone call or a few texts. OMG! I never got a bill stating how my money was being spent, although they were quick to send a late notice! How can it be late if you never get a notice telling you how your money is being spent.? I had to ask to have the statements printed. I would pick them up, as to not incure any other charges heaven forbid. I can't believe she charged me for the court dates that were postponded due to her problems!!! After she wanted another $2500 to go on for the modification, I sought guidence and was advised to fire her and represent myself. It was the best thing I ever did!! The only half way decent person in that office is Kelly, her paralegal. That is if you can ever get her on the phone. She charges half of what Paige does and is willing to answer all of your questions, and usually follows through with what she has told you. Again, minimum charge is for a 1/2 hour even for a 10 minute phone call so be prepared!! I was warned about Paiges lack of follow through, but when I met her she was a tiger and that was what I wanted and needed. She was no way near that AND IT CAUSED ME MUCH GREIF !

I hired Paige to represent me for my divorce. I had horrible experience with her and her staff. They work like they are state or federal employees and they dont have to be polite with their clients. Paige never does her homework before she goes to the court. She will ask you the questions that you sh...ould be asking her. Her paralegal staff is even worse. You will never get your calls answered to returned. Few times I tried to schedule consultation with Paige before I go to the court to discuss the startegy before hand, but never get it scheduled and on the date of my court date she is clueless and start asking questions like she is talking to you first time in her life. Please do not waste your time and money. In the court she is a confused personality. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE HER.

The heading says it all. I too had two previous attorneys prior to Paige, and it cost me losing custody of my child. Completely. No legal custody or anything. I had read the reviews on her and was shocked because so many people referred me to her why would so many people say horrible things on here? ...I met with her and felt extremely safe with her. She told me I should have never lost my daughter and we will fight to get her back. My ex hired the number 1 rated attorney and most expensive in bakersfield. She was never intimidated by him and never backed down. Within five months of her representing me, I got full custody and primary again. She is very busy because she is a GREAT attorney, so I ne we expected her to call me back and quite frankly I would rather pay a paralegal rate for a phone call than an attorney rate. She always answered any question I had within minutes of texting her. There are truly no words I can describe for kelly either. When I felt weak, she made me feel strong, when I was worried, she took away my fears. Her and Paige never told me any false hope. They always are very straight forward and tell you what to expect. I would have never got my baby back If it wasn't for her. She didn't charge an arm and leg, and honestly I would have paid four times what I did to keep her, she is that good. I always wonder if reviews are accurate and trust me, if I could recommend anyone, it would hands down be Paige. As a mother you want your kid with you and safe from harm and danger. Where I was, I can honestly say I would never have gotten primary custody back let alone legal. her father got very little hours with her after I won primary, and for the best interest of my child, I have decided to mediate with him and give him more hours and nights for the best interest of my daughter, even though I know had Paige gone to trial, he would have got way less time. Paige never was upset I wanted to mediate or said no. She knew we would win at trial but she honestly does want the best for your children! She is God sent and I truly owe her the world for bringing my baby back home!! I highly recommend her, she is the best! Truly an angel!!
